Hi all

Many thanks for all support found in this site
Can anybody help me to find an indicator that can be connected to or can read from demark trendline indicator to measure the angle of both lines and shows on the graph on the corner or any where on the charts.

pls see the example.

I think there is no such indi.
Only coder can write it from the beggining.

What for you need to measure this angles?
this indicator is very good as I use it long time already.

As far as I know, mentioned elsewhere too, you cannot measure angles on MT4.

I have got it from a professinal programmer .. once u move the mouse to the line it will show you the angle.

The angle changes if you stretch the chart, therefore there is no point in calculating angles as what you really are calculating is your candle witdh..

yet another angle thread.

There are no angles in the chart, only on the screen where they are measured in pixels.

And since most people prefer to measure time in days, hours, minutes, seconds or candles and price in pips or dollars or euros or any other currency and not in pixels ("eurusd dropped 128 pixels during the last 42 pixels" - "...") you should also measure the steepness of lines in the chart in pips per time and not in meaningless screen pixel angles.

To add to this, what really should be measured is the drop/rising speed of pips per bar of the chart you have - that would be an accurate number.

hey mikkom..... are you sure the actual angle value changes if we stretch the chart.... the actual angle value .......

carefully consider this, on any chart of any pair we can calculate any ma's angle of any other pair on any time frame ...... so even if 'stretching' the chart would change the value, we have no way of altering the chart...... we don't even have it open.....

perhaps what needs to be done is , someone write a ea that not only accurately and verifiably measures angles but also places trades with respect to those angles.......

maybe even upload it to youtube for all to see....... maybe...... h

I am definitely not going to argue about this but what would have happened if he would have changed just X-axis or Y-axis, not both X and Y?

In metatrader the x/y axis ratio is variable, not fixed - you can change them bu dragging the dates/values next to the chart.

hey mikkom...... the manner being employed to measure the angle will not allow any negative impact by altering the chart.....

have not given your explict situation above any thought, due to the fact it does not effect my measurement, so can not say what would be the outcome.....

it might possibly effect someone else's measurement..... if so, they should consider looking for another method of calculation......h

well it took 10 minutes to write the ea, 10 minutes to make the video and 36 dang hours to get it uploaded..... might be some room for improvement in my youtube association....

next will be the same ea, slightly altered of course, placing trades in a completely verifiable manner on any or all pairs on any or all timeframes....

this will be done from a single chart with no other chart open and no other expert running.....

so obviously we are not using pixels, windowpricemax(), windowpricemin(), matharctan() , windowbarsperchart() or anything of that nature....

absolutely perfectly....... absolutely verifiable......

hey mikkom..... just had time to verify, even though there was no possible way to alter the charts and effect my measurements.....

the answer is no for sure.....

inclosed below is the 451 on the gbpusd.... you can see varying the price scale had no effect on the measurement.... even when the bars became a straight line..... it sayed -49.60 ......

also inclosed is 452 which trades separate pairs from a single chart..... it's running on the usdjpy but currently watching the gbpusd..... varying the usdjpy price scale has no effect on the gbpusd measurement..... it stayed -49.60........h
