fuuuu... looks like UJ wants that daily MVA21 (crosshairs on chart) which is at 93,3 which means GJ will go to 138,5 first before it decides what to do.

I'm not so sure about short, looks like conservatives may win majority.

All that rubbish about fat fingers being the cause for the market to go down, if that were the case they would stop the markets.

the big boyz sold the market to buy cheap sterling.

I have experienced the same event with FXCM on MarketScope Tradestation Not BA MT4..

My Shorts had proper Stoploss and Take Profit in Place (ONE click trading. MOde) Platform Froze, which did not allow me to close at a Profit manually as I noticed that My Take Profit did not close the trade. I closed the platform, reopened to see that my trade never closed. My Fixed stoploss were no longer in the platforms Tab Bar and Now I was at a Loss after the immediate Pullback. Thanks Again FXCM.

Last night, i said UJ would break 93, thinking a re-test of 93 would be a good place to sell. I didn't think it would go all the way down to 88.20, so now I'm not sure if 93 would be a good sell zone, since it wentdown to where I thought it would, but thought it would take a week or two. Now, I'm thinking maybe it wants to go all the way to 95-96 region.

wait for 93,3 zone to go short (which means it could jump over it and return to it so be careful about stops) that is a daily MVA21 which is usually a strong reactant.

just saw european opening calls, they are pointing down, which will bring Yen crosses down - which means those targets must be reached within two-three hours or shortfall.

I will also watch 120 for e/j

risk looks so bought right now, and while the yen pairs have moved tremendously, the usd pairs are just beginning to be bought, (ex. EU), since usually xx/usd and xx/jpy pairs as of late, follow same direction, could be quite a move for jpy.

e/j is a barometer for equity markets. Since futures are low, there will be a move down first, and since later who knows what will happen after all this losses on the markets, it entirely depends on the sentiment of the market. Which is why you don't trade today TA is mixed, 60/40 for long, based on TA. GJ gravitation towards 142,5 on daily with 128,5 on the other end. With EURUSD looking like it has a base now and friday being favorite for rallies amongst other things. Mixed times and not good to make early trades, lets see what market brings.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has imposed a financial penalty of £140,000 on Alpari (UK) Ltd (Alpari), an online provider of foreign exchange services for speculative trading, for failing to have in place adequate anti-money laundering systems and controls. Its former money laundering reporting officer (MLRO), Sudipto Chattopadhyay, has also received a financial penalty of £14,000.
FSA regulated firms should carry out risk assessments of the money laundering and financial crime risks that they are exposed to. However, between September 2006 and November 2008, Alpari failed to carry out thorough assessments and, as a result, put the firm at risk of being used to further financial crime.

Alpari failed to carry out satisfactory customer due diligence procedures at the account opening stage and failed to monitor accounts adequately. These failings were particularly serious as Alpari’s customer base included those from higher risk jurisdictions, such as Nigeria, and its customer relationships did not operate on a face to face basis.

Alpari also failed to have in place adequate systems for screening customers against UK and global sanctions lists and for determining whether customers were politically exposed persons (PEPs).

Despite increasing its customer base from 400 to 11,500 live accounts between mid 2007 and mid 2008, Alpari did not expand its compliance and anti-money laundering function in line with the rest of the business and placed too much responsibility on Chattopadhyay.

As its MLRO during this period, with responsibility for compliance oversight and money laundering reporting, Chattopadhyay was accountable for these breaches and therefore also received a financial penalty for the failings. Chattopadhyay has also given an undertaking that he will not make an application to the FSA to be approved for a compliance oversight or MLRO role for three years.

Margaret Cole, director of enforcement at the FSA, said:

“The FSA expects firms to assess the financial crime risks to which they are exposed properly. The FSA also expects expanding businesses to commit sufficient resource to their compliance and anti-money laundering functions. Alpari failed to operate and maintain adequate money laundering systems and controls, leaving it open to the risk of financial crime.

“These penalties serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining effective anti-money laundering controls – something we have repeatedly stressed. All firms should ensure that they minimise the risk of exposure to financial crime and we will continue to be extremely vigilant in this area.”

Both Alpari and Chattopadhyay cooperated fully with the FSA investigation and agreed to settle at an early stage. In doing so, both the firm and the individual qualified for a 30% discount. Without the discount, the financial penalties would have been £200,000 for Alpari and £20,000 for Chattopadhyay. The FSA also recognised that Alpari and Chattopadhyay had put in place a remedial action plan to address the failings.
