I read an article today and have one thought - EU shouldn't be interested in value of euro. I live in EU and we tend to buy stuff from US or England as it is cheaper there, but if this continues, buying stuff in US and mailing it back will not be profitable. And if stuff becomes cheap here people from US would buy stuff from us. So doesn't lowering of euro increase export and reduce import. That way stimulating the economy?
Am I stupid or could this be possible?

Fast forward to today. Someone resurrects 3 year old thread. Original poster comments, someone ironically, that he is making money albeit three years later with the Euro falling.

Kinda funny, I thought.

That's actually what I was thinking. Just wondering if he was still short from July '09. Helluva long term trader or just needs some clarification.... ???
