I have had 3 trades all told. One yesterday and two today. All on the 15 min. All good. two thru the night and one just a few minutes ago.

I had two during the noght on 15 min both good but I am not sure how much that was down to a bit of luck

Hello Geoff,

Is there a way to change the moving average. It appears that a 62 Exponetial or a 200 Simple moving average gives wonderful results. Buy when cnadle closses above moving average and sell when candle closes below moving average. The stop loss is when the candle closes on the opposite side.

Yes, in settings there is the fast_ema setting, this is actually the SMA setting currently set to 10 SMA but you can change it to any value.

The alternative way of closing the order would require changes to the code.

Hi guys,
no update son this thread? The scalper EA is not giving good results. Produce many loss trades than profit trades.

I have been making the odd manual trade on the one hour chart when conditions suit and I have been at my machine. I haven't been able to get the EA to make the same trades so will probably just continue with the manual ones for now as I have other EA's from this forum on test at the moment.

Here is a strategy report for a scalper that takes a small profit 3 times a day at or arround the Tokyo, London and NY opening times.

It uses a "box" type entry across the close of the previous candle, the box size is specified in order_gap and half the gap is placed above the close and half below.

Start times for each opening time can be adjusted, all times in GMT once the broker to GMT offset is specified.

It's not perfect by any means but I think there is something there!

Geoff, can I ask a stupid question? Can I run this ea together with the V5a in one GBPUSD chart? Ah , and BTW I sent you a pm early this mrng while you hopefully had still a gd sleep...if you have time to look at it......thanks a lot

Hi Roman

You can't run more than one EA on a chart so you would need to open another GBPUSD H1 chart to run this EA.

I think this has potential but I have not had any other feedback from the thread!

Sorry about not getting back earlier. I tried to open the attachment in work the other day but my laptop crashed and then I got distracted in work and didn't get another chance.

Must say it does look as if it has legs. As I mentioned previously to you I had managed to have look at the charts and the idea behind it and it did look good.

Can you post the EA and I will forward test next week.

Hi Paul

Here are the files for this EA but I must make it clear that I would not recommend anyone to use this on a live account, it is no where near a working EA and needs quite a lot of work doing to it!

I thought I might call it 3timesScalper what do you think?

EA didn't trade teh asian open last night but scalped a nice 3 pips this morning around 07:26 (GMT). I'll keep you posted

The trade at asian opening last night took a profit of 18 pips. No trade at London opening and the one this afternoon is badly down.

All three trades fired today. Asian and UK open more or less broke even earning a couple of pence each. US open scored 14 pips.
