It appears we are dealing with the realization that we aren't having armageddon or the great depression just yet but there are still lots of people out of work and countries like Greece that cannot stay afloat in these new conditions.

Seems to me like at least the GJ market is playing this all fairly "real" kind of hovering between up and down.

h4 chart showing current monthly/weekly/daily levels. i used the same color coding for each so everyone can easily follow my comments.

we already have a daily support @ 142.35/45, backed up by monthly support @ 141.87.
- if this holds - and so far it did, then next move is to test weekly levels - last weekly close @ 144.45 and weekly vwap @ 143.72.
- if this does not hold, then theoretically next move should test 135.60.

Still some consolidation here that needs to take place in my opinion, but I'm thinking a drop is inevitable at least to 140.00. I know I said I'd be taking a break this week but the markets seem to be a nice distraction... flight leave in a few hours.

I rode shorts up to 143.30 last night and hit target this morning. I put shorts on between 143.08 and 143.40 and would like to add more if we can kiss 143.00 again or even higher. We're dropping pretty hard right now so we'll have to wait and see.

IMHO
Tmr Jpy market op. meaning will be transaction occured (pending transaction), which will strengthens Jpy (that's what banker always said), so if today didnt hit 143-144, then i will short immediately

I think it will hit 143.3 bepore goes down again...

The (US equity) markets are trying to decide what to do. I agree with you that a downside move for the UJ & GJ is likely to happen this afternoon. The ratings hit against Spain was perfectly timed to be put out as European equity markets closed, and although EURUSD is losing ground (mild so far, IMHO), there's little reason for the US $ to rally since 20% of their exports go to Europe, and, with the one other major consumerism driven market outside of North America in serious jeopardy, there's little reason for US optimism.

Note also the 2:15EST Fed Rates statement; you can be rest assured there will be no rate hike, but it's the hawkishness level of the wording that has volatility potential, and that's where the big boys could be dangerous.

BTW: Definite downage going on & more to come in GBPUSD - just a question of how USDJPY will react, but the yen crosses are leaning towards selloffs IMHO for this afternoon. US Treasuries are also being sold. And the VIX is in terrible shape.

"hidden gap" is a ff user, and that volume is his indicator. it is no different from MT indicator, it just colors bars depending on their size relative to past bars.

hm. maybe i'm not getting it right, but unless i see u-j closing today below 93.95 / or going below 92.98, i can't have a bearish bias...

g-u is right at support. g-j bounced off support, and has a little bit more to upside resistance... so i don't see a selling spree just yet. might be wrong though...
