DislikedThank you very much for sharing your experience. You're the first to understand the point of this thread.
That's right, I was reading material analysis about the evolution of market behavior, and changing a lot in these last years, is becoming more unpredictable. A direct relationship: the greater popularity of the market (more and more new investors) = greater difficulty of winning.Ignored
I have understood your thread however it would appear that you are looking for a stroke of the ego, or perhaps a few more blind punters that will agree whole-heartedly so that when you venture into the world of high risk stakes and blow up you may have someone to turn to. There is with most money management strategies a direct correlation to the represented drawdown vs gains. So yes by risking a greater portion of your equity you will naturally have a greater chance of superior gains. However the drawdown aspect over time will also come into play. In most modelling that I have either played with or read about, and it is alot, there is nothing I have read about that would allow for ongoing gains of more than 100% without a meltdown over time, period. Some of the best compoundable gains I have found are well above normal over time (5-10 years at averages of 50-60% ROI) however there are also large periods of drawdown in the vicinty of 40-70% with no new equity highs for periods of over a year. Considering the fluctuations and movements of members from 1 strategy to the next, and the shear number of get rich kick scenarios, I believe that less than 5% here would last a year without a new equity high, most probably less than a month.
No one is doubting that the results are possible and as I mentioned I am sure there are a number here, previous poster included, that have achieved it. Whether they are still successful in the SAME modelling with the SAME Money Management would be interesting and so would the time period.
So your thread title is It is possible to make 2000 from 200 in Forex? It is easy or very difficult? Yes, almost anything is possible. Is it easy or difficult. In the right market conditions with agressive position sizing it could be considered easy. Timeframe - well in regards to the past sentence you could do it in a week, a month or a year.
