Yes, I will have to rewrite the ADR routines someday. However it should be noted that the ADR5 and the ADR20 on the dashboard are based on the last consecutive 5 and 20 days respectively. They are not last weeks and last months ADR values.

Yes, I had that one also written down as a possibility, but had to leave so never got into that trade. I also missed two other trades aso, because I had to leave. I can only say that we can't win them all. I am hoping to be home for todays trades. Have a good one. But I can say you do have it correct. Did you take any other trades? Also, what state or country are you in. I am thinking about setting up a skype room for this strategy called the 23.6? I have some other people that I train interested in a chat room for the 3 hours. 12pm -3pm est. Tues, Weds and Thurs and maybe Mondays.

Yes i know that, but if we have for example 100 pips of movement last 5 days (without Sunday) the ADR for next day is 100 pips. When one of 5 days is Sunday (10 pips of movement) the ADR for next day is 82 pips and that is highly different from the correct result.

Kinda quiet around the house today...saw this CH setup un the GU...price broke signal candle by 1 pip...waited for pull back and took short at 1.5266
Understand that this is not Craig's trading time of day. Just playing with
3 micro lots.
Lets see where it goes.

Hey Cliff love the observation of breaking the signal candle by 1 pip, my god that is bar focus, well done! and I also like the waiting on the pull back to get a better price, as worth waiting as SS agreement was in your favour, look forward to taking these CTT trades at and around LC with you, personally not entered on the pull back, usually enter at the low of the RC, but I can see its positive pip value in the move now, see ya Monday for some more of these sneeky bad boy trades!!!

I've been following this thread with great interest and I'm wondering if anyone is successfully trading the Asian session as soon as the channel breaks 40 pips, also CH uses a fractal indicator on his charts, but I believe that is different than the most recent hi/lo indicator that I've seen. Fractals use a 5 candle pattern, but recent hi/lo indicator use 3 candles. Could anyone clear this up for me? Thanks for everything, this is a great thread.

Hey Jam,

I trade from 11pm PST till 2 or 3am PST. Asia session is a doozie for CH. If you must trade Asia, I'd suggest a 4pm, 5pm, or 6pm (PST) breakout method with strict rules as there are not many healthy swings there.

CH uses Fractals to help visualize the swings when he does his seminars and videos. After a while you'll find that you don't really need to have the fractals on your chart all the time. Not sure what hi/lo indicator you're talking about, as we don't use a hi/lo indicator. If you d/l the CH template I have created which includes Xaphod's Dashboard and his Sloped Stochastics, you'll be all set for the right setup and look for trading CH.

Hi Jim,

When I asked Craig Harris about trading Asian session he replied that setups were valid once the TC hit 40 pips or more. He went on to say that by the time he comes into his trading room for the London open, many of his students have already made their 40 pips trading the Asian session. He said he doesn't trade it because it typically lacks the action of the London open and he likes more action, plus he is sleeping to be rested for the LO.
Interestingly, he also said that, if he wasn't teaching, he would trade only the CTT strategy for the 3 hours after the London close, mostly because he could make enough money and he wouldn't have to get up for the London session (he lives in CA).

I make money trading the Asian session, but London is much easier and usually quicker. I just don't like being up that late (I'm Mountain time). I agree with Neo that trading Asian session CH is not as reliable as London. It often lacks momentum, the swings fizzle, and sometimes the TC doesn't even get to 40 pips before Frankfurt open. I'm often tempted to take mediocre setups just to get a trade in. Not the best conditions.
