I'm looking for an ending diagonal.

The first and second subwave of the larger fifth wave down, both appear to be 3's.
Also, the first 4 waves of the larger trend from 1.51 happened pretty quickly, satisfying the preceding move haven gone "too far too fast" guideline.
Being that Friday's closing price action has the pair resting on the upper limits of the diagonal trendline - in order for this count to be valid we'd need to see some dollar strength on Monday.

Best,
-Adam

That's right, but it depends which rule we use . I read that on leverage markets it could happen, so that's why I count it like this.

one question i NEVER seem to find answers to in all videos and articles i've read about the Elliot wave theory is... HOW DO I IDENTIFY THE ORIGIN OF THE WAVES??? I mean... how do i draw or count the waves? where do i start from? how do i know where to start from? i've seen several examples on charts but no one ever seems to explain why they chose theirs points as the origin of the 1st wave.

So could someone please explain this to me? i know quite a bit about the Elliot wave theory now, but all that knowledge is USELESS cos i still can't apply anything i've learned.

so a little help PLEASE http://cdn.forexfactory.com/images/smilies/yim/sad.gif

Usually you would start from any major swing high or low and try to find fives waves up or down. If you cant then look for the correction waves and go from there.
