Keep in mind, a large part of the world hasn't reacted to the NFP yet. While a lot of the forex related funds have, players in the Japanese stock markets, Chinese, etc.....haven't had that chance yet.

It could still be a little whippy until we get through the first 24 hours.

Yes, thanks for the prompt esperanza, and to Diane for the ChartGame link. (Practicing TA with its simulation is very addictive indeed ... especially on a trading day like today!) Now my hand is beginning to ache from clicking through each bar but I'm enjoying it for what it's worth; the simulation, i.e..

Seems there is no real reaction one way or the other to the employment data in the US markets today. Very, very, odd.

I would think that the perma-bulls would be spiking it up at the moment. As I write this mid-day.....we are only up 54 points in the Dow.

A friend of mine asked about the AUD earlier today via PM. Here are the two trend lines I am following on it. It could be time to start thinking short. If nothing else.....it's a tight stop.

I have been watching for the $90 area for some time now and thats a no brainer....now I'm thinking maybe $100.

By all accounts, the morons feel the need to push crude up...and up. While I certainly would not want to step in front of a freight train like this, there is a part of me that says this is going to end in tears for a lot of people.

90 is almost assured at this point. 100 is very probable as well.

The one thing the oil bulls keep overlooking is the fact that supply is way,way,way up worldwide.

Oh, and that whole demand thing is weak.

I have been wondering where the next bubble is going to be, I mean let's face it - no bubble....no economy. I am starting to become convinced it's a couple of bubbles forming now. One is in commodities, and the other is China. Perhaps the real estate market in China to be frank.

Recipe for market bubbles: Combine a theoretically unlimited supply of money w/a limited resource... Voila!

I'm nearer convinced the U.S. Bond market is entering a "please help me pop" stage these days. Then there's a different specie of bubble that's hopefully "extra credit worthy" for mentioning but may be more difficult to play, can we say, Social Security?

oh, Oh! ...Medicare?

Okay, no extra credit for Demi-care b/c admittedly they're both on my pay stub/tax return/branded to my arse/etc already - so it's a gimme.

Nevertheless I love to listen to cool music as the economy crumbles and reconfigures itself whilst I trade, such as Tony Furtado's rendition on Tom Petty's song, "Runnin' Down a Dream." And as an exercise, while the government's all in, perhaps it ought regulate how long I can play Chartgame at a stretch ...or should I be providing real liquidity?

As a contractor a few years ago, I saw that in all it's glory. I would come to paint a house, most of the time it was maybe 2 years old. While that was going on, there would be about 4 or 5 other contractors doing various jobs, paid for by "all that money we got at closing."

It's scary how many people fell for all of that.
