renko on 5 pips and range bars on 10 ticks


But guess you can pretty much see the same thing on the 5 pip renko chart if you remove the template.

If any naked chart renko traders stop by, please comment... lol

I hadn't tested it yet but thought I'd mention it since we were kinda on the subject last week.
His visual back test/screen shot looks pretty good though.

Here's screen shot of it on his recommend 10 pip renko charts, looks good for swing trading not so good for scalping, but maybe on 5 pip renko bricks.

Sorry that last range bars were set at 25-30 pip bricks not 10, sorry for any confusion, think I need a break, & will let someone else post next.

Hello dear Renko traders,

Thanks to the recently added link on this forum to FX360.com, this weekend I have had the opportunity to focus on Harmonic trading Patterns.
As mentioned in this form of (harmonic) trading, the formation of Gartley patterns seem most to occur. Because it is difficult to see these patterns for yourself at the beginning, I have, in my opinion, added the best currently available indicator to my template ( KISS Renko-template)

It is the ZUP_v67.01_WRR

This coming week I want to test the results of that additional indicator on Renko 10 pips. Simultaneously i will keep the 1-2-3 Pattern v3.1 MTF indicator (for 123 patterns) running to see if yes or no, we can combine and apply both patterns indicators.

Please have a look at the attached chart for this new indicator...

Add the additional indicator first and reload the KISS Renko template to see the same picture on your own MT4-platform if you want to test it too.

Please go to that FX360.com site, it is realy interesting stuff there !

PS. I have omitted the oscillating SM SuperTRIX indicator for now...so that i can focus on these pattern indicators first.

I have a zup83 template I use on 4 hr and up charts, helps a lot with forecasting major price movements. I havn't played with it much on renko charts yet. But last couple of weeks just using the info to scalp in direction of the major trends, since I started testing scalping setups again.

Glad your taking a much closer look into it Gilbert.

I like to combine power of the price action indi with Gartley too.

Following my previous posting on Harmonic Trading with Renko, I followed the action of this ZUP_v67.01_WRR indicator and found that this indicator created too much confusing information on the screen.
I have therefore replaced this indicator by the Search_Patterns_v6 indicator that deliver better and clearer information . You can switch on and off the search for following patterns :

Gartley, 5-0 Pattern, AB=CD, Wolf Waves.

If you want to know more about these patterns, see HERE

For this, you need the additional indicator to install and the attached template.
Once you installed this new indicator, don't forget to set FuturePattern = true to project (possible) patterns in the future...

PS. Attached screen shots gives a nice explanation...and notice that on the second screen (GBP/USD), a Sell-limit order is only valid if price first reaches MinPriceC= 1.51998

Very cool Gilbert, think I asked someone to post that indicator on Petar's other thread while back but I hadn't tried it yet, & didn't even know it had the "FuturePattern = true", option. What are you some kinda fx reseacher scientist or something? lol

No my friend, I'm just someone who is interested very much in this matter and hopefully will soon be joining live trading, if I've gotten enough confidence in this form of harmonic trading.

Hello,

Today is the day !
I placed my first real order based on a confirmation of two bullish patterns,
Bullish Crab & 5-0 Pattern.
See attached screenshot for more explanation.

Let's see what it will bring...if not, then i loose 30 pips.

Today I could find out that for trading following the rules of harmonic patterns, the use of this indicator (Search_patterns_v6) is sufficient to generate regular qualitative projections.
So a few minutes ago I could place an new (sell-limit)order.
Following the Gartley rules,my TP is set @ 0,618 of the entry price.
It is all explained on the attached chart.

It's not a trading ea but generates a offline renko/range chart just like RenkoLiveChart_v3.2.mq4 etc does, and was made from the same code even.

Yes i understand, but i can not activate it.
I installed it in the expert folder, but when i click on it, (gray colored) it is not activating, it is not opening the settings window...

You are missing those 2 files...

WinUser32.mqh
stdlib.mqh

They must be present in the "include" folder
