Maybe you are over estimating BrightStar, you may well have been deceived.
After all people like to idolize people. BrightStar could ofcourse post his 50k oanda loss to show that this loss is only minor on his "massive" account but I guess it is unlikely he will do so.

I guess this is maybe the biggest lesson, find your own way.

Yeah find your own way, BS!!! no one here has found there own way with out going through the curve, some things that are said here now wont be relevant for some time for some people,

some of the people here on FF (and yes i know it is a public forum) would run off jessie or george themself. what a pissing contest we have here. If any of you think this is a waste of reading time then turn the channel. I for one am greatful for the time(free by the way) of allot of the people here.. its that simple.

I'm guessing that that 50K loss is anywhere from 5- 15% of Darkstars account. He's always said that his trades are high probability and therefore allow him to risk a high %. It's very unfortunate his 1st trade on the forum was a loser.

It's even more unfortunate that people are taking it as an opportunity to attack him. On the bright side at least we are seeing some folks true character...

Ds said that now he averages in so I doubt its more than 5% total position would be the latter. , but then again why (other than encouragement) should we even be speculating on his account. Are we that small?

I was simply pointing out that DS isn't professing to have a $5million account. He might have, but we shouldn't assume that he's trading 1% risk per trade. In the past he has risked a lot more because of his high hit-rate, this is all I'm saying.

Seriously! some people here need to spend more time on their own trading than saying "see I told you so" "this crap doesn't work" "look this guy isn't so smart, he lost money" blah blah blah....

I don't know why everyone is getting their panties uptight over ONE lost. Its trading, losers will happen sooner or later.

This is a forum where people share ideas and "hopefully" learn something. I'm sure everyone can take a lesson on what happened here and I can guarantee DS will not make the same mistake twice. You should be glad it wasn't your 50k that was lost. He paid the price while you learned the lesson for FREE.

Instead of asking how much of his account was lost, why don't you ask yourselves if this order flow thingamajig will fit in with my style of trading? Does it let me see the markets in a perspective that I've never thought of before? if yes, then I encourage you to dig deeper down the rabbit hole. If not, then go read the thousands of other threads on FF and hopefully you will find something of value there. What is the point of trying to ridicule someone when they publicly admitted they made a mistake??!!

I for one, am thankful somebody decided to share something of value here. Hopefully this doesn't deter the contributors of this thread to rethink and decide to keep their ideas to themselves. I find this stuff interesting and it makes sense to ME AS A TRADER on why I would like to pursue it further, and frankly, that is all that matters at the end of the day.

sooner or later one will realize (if he/she hasnt yet) that it is true.

also, there seem to be an inverse correlation between one's success at trading and the time spent in public forums
