I used to trade with ECN too. Major disappointment. Commissions, market order slippage an stop order slippage...
I'm trading wiht FxPro now and I'm happy with them. I reg my account with introducer of fxpro and I receive $2 cashback per lot traded (they offer up to $4).

Regards,

exactly...

got burned with ECNs as well.

NOW, what is the very major thing about ECN - do you really trade with DB or any other major player??? NO, absolutely not. Our pennies are stuck in the same pool, the only diff between the two systems is that one shows you the depth, another one - doesnt.

and frankly, i really like Fxpro's openness to the fact that they are MM and they describe situation just the way it is. very rare with other golden-mountains-promises coming from other brokers.

anyway, would stick to the discussion of the particular fxpro advantages/disadvantages rather then general discussion what is better. what is good for me might not be as good for you..

good luck.

Can someone tell "THE REAL REASON" why FXPro does not accept US Citizens anymore but all other citizens no matter where in the world they are coming from???
Ignored
Because fxpro offers only cfd and americans aren't allowed to trade cfd.

Its because they hate us? Cant blame em though-Our Blacksuite Bandit Banker Brokers almost destroyed the worlds economic system with their stupidity and greed-and now they are rewarded with phat bonuses and we are more reviled than before. At least thats my take.

UK Brokers do not accept US Citizen Accounts as well.
Marketiva, I dont know where thsi company operates, does not accept US accounts also.

I think this is a US thing. Is there somehting about their laws that prohibits other companies from accepting US accounts?

One thing I know is that, FBI, oftentimes use "anti-moneylaundering" as an excuse to raid companies suspected of harboring clients engaged in laundering.

You might very well be right. However I find it troublesome to say the least that US Citizens are being discriminated without explanation. Discrimination is one thing but the number of companies out there who is afraid to speak the truth - that's what makes this a question not only Americans should investigate but all retail Forex traders as well.

Hammering US Citizens with FIFO, No Hedge and now putting up some "BLACK BOX" that prevent US Citizens from opening accounts outside the US. Am I the only one that can see something rotten is going on????

And what Country is next? Is this the end of retail Forex because the big boys don't want to share a profit avenue?

Anyways - i am fine with this decision )))) since it didnt affect me.

Fo all of you who are based out in the states - good luck!
P.S. but there is a way round it i guess - you can always supply with a different proof of address(if any exist of course), and still being able to open account? is the case? has anyone tried to do it?

Theoretically will work not only with FxPro but with other brokers as well?

was there a problem? didn't know that...
the question is way too general, what lot sizes, what time of trading etc etc.

you cant decide if a broker suits your trading style based on the replies on forum(imho), i was always wondering how people do that.

I used fxpro live account for almost a year they are the best. Enormous number of instruments a proffessional support, easy to deposit and withdraw, they are the best in my opnion. As for the execution I guess it's not a problem but the CySEC forces CIF's to have a dealing desk that's why I really respect them they disclose everything.

i dont think that any regulator can impose such thing. i would better triple check it before saying...

what i recon and actually have experience that with bigger volumes execution is better with fxpro then with smaller(no idea why btw) - but it works just fine for me. on another hand its more convenient then "partial fills" at ecns, definitely works better for me!

Has anybody any problem with FXpro? I has some problems as follows.
1. Yesterday, suddenly iphone trading app could not connect to server, I did not know what they did during that time.
2. Today, gold price does not update at all since 21:21 up to now.
3. Very often the spread increases to 1 USD for gold.

You're right about the price freeze but it only was for a minute. The following ticks are from fxpro's feed:

2010.03.19 21:21:20 1107.05 1107.55

Regarding the spread it started from 21:56 till market close :

2010.03.19 21:57:33 1105.85 1106.85

However in their website they say :"*** - The above Spreads are applicable under normal trading conditions. The Company has the right to amend the above spreads according to market conditions as per "Terms and Conditions".

Still they are my prefered broker

Maybe your Fxpro feed is different with my feed. Since 21:21, 2010.03.18 my feed was freeze although other price feeds (forex) workeds fine. I had to talk to agent (live chat). He/she had admitted that the price had not been updated since 21:21, and promised to fix. I had tried to talk to other agent (live chat) later, finally I got price updated at 22:54 again. If you have the feed for 2010.03.18, could you please post it here for me to compare? Many thanks.

the best way to compare the spreads is here:
http://www.forexfactory.com/news.php
click on "Broker Quotes" section on left side "Expand All".
