evening bro

i got stopped out. made a mistake when I sold earlier from the m1, I didn't realise I was referring to the pivot on eu instead of cable (not that it mattered in the end since both the pairs ripped the pvp) I need more screens . Bollocks, hoodoo stuff, luckily that was a 1usd/pip trade

welp that's me out for the rest of the day till fomc later. got paid earlier, so I'm not gonna hurry today.

wb, is it possible you could change the blue background on your charts? your earlier charts with white background were much better.

Q: Do you use FXCM for trading or just for charts? I like their platform and charts but have heard horror stories of their stop hunting. Is it true what they say about FXCM?

trade entered 1.5005 and while i slept, hit target.. missed your short tho...

hi shades .. I won't change it temporarily until I get a few more screens I'm afraid. Currently running on 4 screens, and the amount of different charts I have running simultaneously sometimes confuses me, so I decided to colour code them to make it easier. Blue charts are for majors, black charts for the crosses & white for the indexes (except the weekly & monthly indexes are also black.

I use fxcm as my broker & I use the marketscope to scalp. I don't really like the "feel" on the marketscope for charting tho, prefer the mt4, that's why you see the larger tf swing setups I mostly use mt4.

I don't know what you've heard about fxcm, but I've never encountered any problems whatsoever with them. Apart from the occasional downtime, their execution is fast, their withdrawal is fast & their spread is reasonable. I do not believe a broker as large as them would practise underhand tactics and hunt their client's stops. Don't think they need to really as most people who attempt to trade are not profitable anyway that they end up giving all their capital to the brokers lol. I'm sure institutional traders sweep their counterparts stops to get in/out at bargain/expensive prices but I doubt it's us small farts they're after. Most people who blame stop hunts etc for their bad trades usually are not good traders. They might have entered at a bad time (news hour) when volatility is high that when they get stopped out they think someone is after them, so blaming the broker is an easy way to justify their bad luck lol. Bottom line is, brokers needs clients to make money, doubt they'll cheat their own clients at the risk of losing them permanently.

Great trade this morning.

Are you looking to re-enter your long on cable? I imagine above the two weekly pin bars could be quite a few stops and there could be a breakout upward. What are your thoughts?
