I use a Verizon broadband package with my laptop along with a Huawei USB broadband modem and have never been able to get MT4 send an email alert. I've done everything and it still fails. It works at home with the cable modem and wireless router with that service but I can't get it to go with Verizon. I've given up and settled for an audible alert but would rather prefer the email...

I had a lot of trouble getting email alerts to go through also. I tried several free email accounts and paid for a bluebottle.com account. They all either wouldn't work at all or were intermittent. My current setup is using a free account with AIM (AOL). It seems to be working fine so far so I'm including a pic showing my settings.

Note: I use multiple copies of MT4 logged in to the same account. I seem to be able to use email alerts on only one copy at a time.
