Yes you can wait for the new trade signal or whenever you think the trend is over. That part will become more clear as we get used to trading with this. You have to remember this system is new to me also and I have not made final decisions on all the rules. But that could be one of them. Blue and White lines crossing the red are another.

Sure the indicator can have an alert. But because until now the indicator was not used in a trading system, I have not done well.
It remain to discuss the "theoretical" problem of scaling, and I do not know whether everyone has understood the difference between the original and my "Fourth" indicator. (Please reread my remarks).
For the 25% lines I solved the problem taking for every bar the last 120 bars (ca. 1 month) and calculating dynamicaly the 25% lines and the signals.
The same problem of scaling the MACD for the last 120 bars in the stochastic window is not solved, and for this cause, ONLY the signal lines on the right edge of the charts are 100% correct. It is important to know this!
The signals left or in the middle of a chart coud be correct or false for visual backtesting or analyses. (It is easy to check this on scrolling the chart and you can see that the signal lines changes).
If in the next days I have the time, I will try to solve the MACD scaling.

Well the GBP is showing what would happen under the worst case scenario with this system. Hate to show a loss on the first day but it is keeping things under control. One hit per 4H candle.

If this was a live account I would just shut down for the day and wait until the market settled back down but since this is a demo we will keep it running and see what happens.

I had trade signals on four different pairs last night. GBP/JBY, GBP/CHF, USD/JPY and EUR/GBP. This is on FXsolutions platform. So far I've had eight trades ,all for -30 losses except one+62 trade for a total of -150. Will leave EA on for all four of these pairs until white stoch. or RSI reach the other extreme as you advised in the instructions. Will see if gains make up for losses when price does decide to go in the direction of the signal.

Ok, interesting day:
I am having internet issues here in China, found my interenet on and off during the day. 1st day back to work here after the New Year holiday so internet traffic was really bad and had a hard time getting to certain sites and places. Anyway this is what happened. I am dropping the GBP for trading because of volatility but I knew that was possible when I posted it. I have my recommended pairs below but will not trade the gbp/usd until it settles down. gbp/chf is a mistake and shouldnt have traded it. I am working on a system for the more volatile pairs but that will have to wait until I am getting all my entrances with these pairs. I am going to widen my entrance area to 5 pips from 3 to see if that helps.

Hi Bob

When you put the EA on does it mean that still one or two conditions are not met? For instance on my chart USDCAD all conditions with exception of MACD are in place for a BUY trade. Am I correct in placing the BUY EA so if and when MACD does move lower the EA kicks into action?

The indicator the Swingman produced tryies to pick the most optimum trade signal. It doesnot mean it is the only time. In my other thread I would choose to enter if all three did not exactly line up because with slower pairs that would not happen. As you may know the USD/CAD and I are not good friends. That pair likes to trend and trend and trend at times so indicators are not always useful with that pair. Because they both trade the same time session the CAD doesnt have the strength to retrace on any strong USA news so always going with the trend on that pair is the only way to go. The truth is you are asking the wrong person about the usd/cad, I hate that pair. It seems to be a guaranteed loser for me.

Ok under the rules of version 2 this is what we call a secondary trade. It has reached the same spot as a previous primary trade and would also make a perfect head and shoulders trade. It doesnt fit Swingmans indicator but I dont see why you would not want to make that trade. Here is the pic and you can follow the blue S line back to the previous primary trade. My feeling right now is I am only going to teach primary trades until we get them down pat and then add secondary traidng down the road. generally though your best runs are off of secondary trades rather than primary trades.

Has anyone had the EUR/GBP trade yet? I don't think the EA is working on that pair . It's missed at least two trades in the last day.

My sell EAs have been missing trades also. I have double checked them made some changes and testing now. They seem to be working. I made a mistake in the code. Will post before the JPY session if they seem to be working properly.

When you post your results also post which broker and whether it is a 5D and 4D account. This will help us in determining if any broker is SL hunting. So far I am gettinglots of SL with IBFX. If all the trades are hitting SL then we need to make adjustments. If it is a particular broker then we can make some changes. Thanks

I've had 14 sl hit since yesterday with FX Solutions. I think a 30 sl on a 4hr chart will be hit alot. Don't think it's the broker.

OK filter out the gbpusd and gpbchf and how many did you have? I wont be using them with a 30 SL. I want to give the other pairs time to see if that is just a turn around problem or regular. We wont know until we run it for 2 or more weeks. But gbp pairs are going to hit it. you can see that by eyeball backtesting. If we cant get the SL to work we are back to my NB 4H trading system using 2.4.2 recovery system and we would have to take out the TP and SL. Those are the options I see.

GBP/JPY- 5 stops, 2 TP's
GBP/CHF- 4 stops, 2 TP's
GBP/USD-2 stops, 1 TP
USD/JPY- 1 stop
USD/CAD- 2 stops
Without a stop loss I'd be way up on these trades and wouldn't have had to use a L2 yet with a 200 pip spacing.

I am starting to think the same thing. Forget the stop loss and go with the 2.4.2 recovery system when needed. I think this would improve the 4H ver. 2 Looking for verification.

The 02 series have no SL or TP so I am going to use one demo with it and see what happens.
