Well done Jankone for emphasising trading psychology. A lot of traders are already defeated in their heads before they even lay on the trade. We also fail to see losing as part of the business

Trading funds
Good trade setup
proper money management
proper documentation and logging of trades
reflection and action on the outcome of the trades

Account growth
If you think you can or cannot do it you are correct

Happy Birthday Jankone! And thanks so much for your contributions! I'm especially grateful to be reminded of the psychological aspects to this business. Thats what I work on mostly these days.

Will your 5 minute method work on Gold or wold you use a 15 minute or higher?

it works every market every timeframe.
but technically in gold you should look at your spread, if you trade for tp 20 and 8 is your spread , it's no chance.
I prefer low spread markets for m5,

Thought you might have been on this...I took it too...wasnt looking for a 5min trade...but there was a high probability that price would boucne of the 4h / 1h trendline i.e. test it as resistance..scrolled down the time frames and the fact we had the 5 min pin bar meant to me there was a higher probasbilit ythat it would head back down to the PPz and round number.

imho, first, we need positive reinforcement by looking at/reviewing the correct trades/correct setups,
then further reinforcement thru the (viewing of) losing charts/trades &/or knowing what went wrong.
