Has anyone experimented with pivot points or s/r or supply and demand rather than the Bollinger Band? I know supply and demand is commonly used on higher time frames in concert with pinbars and other candle combo formations, but I'm just curious as to whether anyone has been successful on using it with this wonderful method?

Again, I'm just curious.

a lot of ryan's and jankone's old posts will tell of how they can tell supply/demand from price alone...BB band just shows extremes.. etc

I dont belive in trades like this one, with div againts the trend it's more reliable.

why not use both, that is, S/R &/or pivots with BB?
it would be a great combination. (trading based on S/R is powerful in itself; see james16, BillyRayValentine, strat's threads)

I like the way you are ultra picky in your trades.

Roughly how many A+ trades you get over one month period (considering all the pairs you watch) and how many pairs do you watch.

Probably someone might have already asked this. Sorry if this question is a repeat.

Yes, if you want to make money, you have to be picky.
I trade for win and with win comes money. I don't trade to losing them in the long therm. So yes , I am picky
I prefer eur / usd, eurjpy,gbpuusd because of low spread, usd jpy is good , but I feel it's really slow market sometimes for me.
I watch m5/15
In one month, i trade a few hours a day, I have really few trades. let's say 1-4 per week
sometimes less or more. I try to trade always with my rules ( #1 )
If i see some trade with 50% of my rules I simply don't trade.
(for example counter trend without div, I don't trade)

Thanks Jankone. obviously if you watch the market for say 10 to 12 hours a day, you may get more setups.

u have the same chart like forexfortson's above..
there is no div since price made higher low & RSI made higher low too.

& your chart is a bit hard to read, because bullish & bearish candles are both colored black.

Great post Jankone! Many people tend to forget that theres a lot more to trading than just the setups. kudos to you for putting some emphasis on psychology as well!
