Interesting thread... I trade EW all the time it is the most significant part of my trading plan. I always try to remember and apply the following though:

1. NOBODY knows what will occur next on the chart, if you did you would put your house on it and retire the next day. The fact that you don't proves that everytrader despite their bravado truely understands this...

2. EW counting is no different it only offers probability of what is occuring now and what it to come. So always be prepared to recount with each new bar if it does not meet expectation.

3. The counts can get complicated and offer different versions on the same chart, so if it seems complicated or ambiguous then I normally move up a timeframe or stand aside.

4. I only seek out the HIGHEST probability trades, that means correlated counts across multiple timeframes, clean looking counts with good wave range and a low risk entry point.


as an example I noticed a few recent posts with the GBPUSD charts on, so take a look at these versions of the same chart...

they both offer a valid wave count, the first has GU on wave 3 of w.C
the 2nd shows the current wave as wave 3 of w.3 only the future knows which one if any will be correct.

If it is a wave 3 of wave 3, then these are normally very powerful and I would expect further decline before 3 of 3 completes.

If I drilled down into the current wave I can currently break it down as being on either w3 or w5 itself, so for me the GU Daily is currently on:

Wave 3 or Wave 5 of either a Wave 3 or Wave C decline.

so at the moment I stand aside and wait to see what happens as this is definately not a low entry point.

EW can be anywhere.....just need patient let it fold to easy dectated...

Good judgement ! More uncertain & beyound one's understanding better wait aside for more clearer views , most of us can't.

how can u show us chart with opposite meaning
LONG usdcad and eurusd,aussie WRONG, this condition would never met.

CAD=oil
Aussie = coal, gold

fiber up = oil up
aussie up = dollah down


i think this is a simple rule.

unless Bank of gaynada cut rates i do not see reason for opposite direction.

the charts he posted are from MT Predictor so ....

5ysfx ... regarding the dependencies you posted ... i personally tested many of them but they did not hold on the long term

do you have some alternative info source for them?

Bro especially on long term just compare charts.
These day we have usd carry issue so any stocks up = dollah down until further notice.

yeah but the split i learned about 2 years ago was about the dependency between forex, sotcks, commodities, metals and Dow Jones

u are talking about specific pairs not ... forex in general

2 years ago was different condition i thought u know this.
I am talking about now, just watch what happened to eur these days, compare to aussie for example,

not forex in general usd vs others would be clearer.

Conditions been changing depend on current market needs or i would rather say "elite" needs, anyway good luck my friend.
