DislikedOff topic, but hopefully someone can help: looking for an mt4 broker that would provide $ index... (not really interested in dollar index indicators)
The issue has been discussed here in FF and some brokers have been proposed, but when I downloaded their mt4 demos none had dollar index included!?

hi everybody,
well i read the past 10 pages of this thread and ... something made me want to write this post
i am studying (learning and applying) Elliott Wave for almost 2 years now and ... i think you would be very surprised to find out that after 2 years i understood why Prechter said that he reads from time to time the basic rules and guidelines of Elliott Wave (i did not belive this at first)
so i was telling you i read the last 10 pages and ... although i will not give feedback on the wave counts ... each and everyone can have an opinion there ... i want to draw your attention on one very important thing ... well 2 actually ...
1. Fibonacci is after crowd psychology the next most important aspect of Elliott Wave ... it is what helps an analyst use one of the most important principles in trading - confirmation/confluence ... call it how u want. So every count ... EVERY WAVE COUNT ... should have Fibonacci as a confirmation argument. Do not forget that 3 and 5 are the first 2 important number in the Fibonacci Sequence.
2. Every wave is sustained by fundamental data ... now i am talking about monthly, weekly and daily because i saw charts using these timeframes.
Now ... you can ignore my post ... it is your choice ... but do not ignore the core logic and principles of Elliott Wave ... because then you would be charting other kind of waves .... the ones that can make you rich and famous because you discovered them
ok ... i hope you understood that i did not meant to judge anyone ... i only wanted to give you guys a different perspective
almost forgot ... i saw a lot of MT Predictor charts .... how do you think they try to count the wave? ... they use something that starts with "fibo" and ends with "nacci" ... joking .... so they apply fibos trying to simulate some kind of artificial intelligence ... nice try i might add ... but artificial intelligence is a bit more expensive

hey halfstep,
well at first i was not at all successful ... but then i leaned the theory from the start of the previous century ... when paper trading was the only way
1. one of the most important things i learned is to include the timeframe i was trading into the bigger picture (monthly, weekly, daily) ... i'm sure u think it is a cliche but ... practice thought me different
2. also guidelines are more then guidelines they honostly help you reduce the number of possible wavecounts
3. Fibos for everything ... first learn the relationships between waves ... then draw fibos for everything ... you will be amazed .... and now i am talking about normal retracement and expansion levels
4. Get second opinions ... even if that means 50$ per month ..... in the end it is well worth it (if you trade 1 lot that means 5 pips ... so com'on) ... because you will see that when u start charting a certain scenario sticks into your mind .... and .... that scenario can be wrong so .... another chartist can prove you wrong
5. Ah and one more thing .... to reduce the number of possible counts i am currently using Chart Patterns with Elliott Wave .... i am a very big fan of chart patterns

I like Dan Zanger Doing....keep EW as minimize...and get chart pattern...
chart pattern can be seen w1 w3 w5 wa wc...termination can start at w2,w4, 0r wb?

well regarding Chart Patterns .. yes Entry means breakout but ... breakouts can also be false as u most probably now ... filtering out those false signals is an art
and after you got in ... you need another "state of the art" technique to know when you get out ... here is where EW, Fibo and Chart Patterns will help
i also use EW to enter a trade ... and also to add to a trade ... depending on how big i expect the move to be
