GFT or OANDA?

I've been looking for forex brokers for some time now and have narrowed my choices down to GFT and OANDA. What would you guys recommend? I haven't found any horror stories apart from the usual slippage grumbling. Is either broker flawed in some fundamental way? Are they missing useful features? Also, if anyone actually used both GFT and OANDA, please let me know what you think about the two brokers.

have gft account, good customer service. obviously have wider spreads b/c of built in commission. but have gotten good executions so far. i place trades via chart so things have been smooth.

platform is decent, just depends on what type of trader you are.

I would go for Oanda without hesitation if I were you especially that you are a beginner.

GFT will kill your account with their dealing desk trading against you.

The nice thing about oanda is the small positions you can trade. Trades are in dollars, not lots (micro or otherwise) which is great for a newbie. You need to be careful about spread changes as they can stop you out if you aren't careful but other wise it is pretty good.
GFT platform has a lot more in it however it does some anoying things like averaging all your postitions and rolling over every two days. Where as oanda charges and pays you interest calculated by the second (delivered to your account daily).
I like both, in the end you should open demos in both too.

I tried them both, they both have good and bad and it really depends on what you feel you need to trade successfully, obviously the GFT platform has lots of shiney bells and whistles, the Oanda platform is pretty plain. The one thing that turned me off at GFT ( I used the demo a few years back and again a few months back) was their rollover method and I would watch that very carefully if your looking at them and make your own judgements based on what you see on the statements. Needless to say I have been at Oanda since 2003.
