This is in the thread somewhere (not sure if it's on 1st post or not), but it's very helpful, and a shorter read than MTM. If you already have read it then disregard, but if not it's worth the time...

All mathcal indicators seems to me lagging and follow the price, and act upon price change, therefore I totally left them for now, cause I am so confused with them at the present time.

I have read about some VSA, and sounds so logical, first follow volume, then look at the effect on price and so on.

I have asked that the above question by means of is it possible to use VSA all the time while making decision only taking into consideration of VSA by only eyes on volume&price ? Acc. to Williams it's applicable to all time frames, however as a newbie for VSA, and fx, I'd like to know how much further this analysis would be reliable and consistent?

Forgive me for my lack of knowlodge, and, if I have asked some sort of question that has no meaning at all.

No problem...well, I too am a beginner with VSA, and I would say that yes, you can use this strategy exclusively and probably do quite well. I now use VSA, and 1 other major strategy in my trading, and that's pretty much it. I do think there's a learning curve of a few months however, so I'd plan on those few months at least to learn and develop your skill with it.

I've recently become a lot more consistent with VSA and have actually started making some money, but I was decidedly UN-profitable for a time as I was learning.

As for time frames, I usually enter using a 5 min chart, but also look at 15 and 30 min for big picture. So, sure, pretty much any time frame works I think.

As a last note, in my opinion the best way to use this is alongside other tools/methods, like trading with the major trend, indentifying major support and resistance, drawing fibs, and then looking for clear VSA signals around those areas, etc.

But like anything, it takes lots of practice and "screen time."

Just when I was preparing to download a demo from FXCM, I noticed that volumes on IBFX 4 digit demo seem to have returned to usual higher levels, since 7h35 am GMT

I have to wait to have at least a complete day and sessions, to compare and see if it is as it was before... but it's strange, and I don't know if it's back on track to stay.

So I will continue the download and setup of the new FXCM demo, and will decide later which to follow in the future.

The fact is I had a horrible trading day yesterday, probably also because of this wacky volumes So I won't trade until this is settle.

By the way, the alternative choice was FXCM demo, because I remember it being used by some of the oldest thread followers (and creater)... it was considered by them as being close enough to esignal.

i have a problem with my volumes in IBFX demo any one have this problem?
I have very low volume problem in demo account in last two day.

and Is there any broker which provide DEmo for stock and index?

wajid, concerning IBFX demo, read my posts from pages 336 to 339... I mentioned that problem, which seems solved.

That's why I like IBFX demo... very high volumes are very clear
I can see by the beginning of your chart that it seems you had the same volume problem (though yours seems restored a bit sooner than mine)... did it affect your trading yesterday?
Anyway, I hope the problems are over and it stays stable, now!

You're welcome.

The BetterVolumeTicks indi will reduce cpu usage dramatically without the need to restrict the number of bars displayed (by default it uses all bars).

In addition, Hi/Lo Climax bars are determined from upticks/downticks as they are in the original Tradestation code.

Not sure about your entry at D tho. True it is a low volume up bar but, the 2 previous bars are down bars with lowering volumes.

Considering the strength in the immediate backround, my opinion for what it's worth, is that this could be a very risky trade. I think a safer entry might have been D + 5.

You said it is better for CPU...Also there are Better Volume ChartBars part1 and part2 Indicators...Can yo udo sasame for those two indicators? I think Better Volume ChartBars part2 has bug related to magenta color ( doesnt match always with volume bar color...mixing with white)...Maybe bug is in BV1.4...I don't know...

is it healty to use vsa during data annoucement ?
anddd, what are our volumes saying now ?
I see down bars, closing highs, middles, lows.. after a bearish yesterday and sideways night and morning, it still moving around support line. the down fall is not so strong, as if it is prevented, who wants to buy after a bad news ? or does it mean bad news of negatve actual result of halifax?
better to wait and see whats happening

Just a few changes to reduce cpu usage - no need to switch if 1.4 is working fine for you.

I'll have a look at the chart bars when I get time - maybe over the weekend.

I compare the volumes of different brokers such as fxdd,acm,mig, etc, all different from each other, but the overall chart almost same, but there could be some little difference.
Then, as I read from the book, said that futures can be taken into as predator, therefore, does it mean that we could use the volumes of futures?

Or, would be sufficient to use any volume belongs to any broker ?
