Just saw this trade, which I went short
Sold price 1.61297
Stop Loss 1.61627
Target Price 1.6114 ( just above yesterday's low)
Actual exit 1.61189 (was scared that PA may not test yesterday's low, post exit PA has gown down upto 1.6106)
I think all rules for THV were met also at the time of entry all lamps on Dashboard Histo were showing red except for FX and SX on H1.
Appreciate comments from senior traders

Cheers

A good 100 pips drop with Cable that I've been waiting for awhile to form on H4 and Daily, waiting for price to break the triangle patter on H4 and its support line, and Daily to break that Long tunnel I drew as well as its support line, and it did 4 hours ago, lol, too bad I was still asleep haha. Now I wait for the pull-back to find a short entrance for those 2 TF as long as everything still confirms for a short at that time. It'll be a few days wait again for that lol, so in the mean time, I'll scalp its way there haha. If PA forms a nice LH from a LL, which it should if it reaches those now resistance lines again, and a successful bounce off of it (or very near it), then I should be shorting from there. =)

Shame we have to sleep. I'm done for the day and happy with the results: 65 pips for the day and 190 for the week. Have a great weekend!

Looks like a good trade to me, your TP is also set a bit above the H1 support line, enough to cover your spread which had been showing strong support, so good you didn't aim any lower than that to be on the safe side.

lol, good job, 0 pips for the week for me haha. Been just watching and studying how the PA reacts to the dashboard, and trying to figure out a trading plan for it for me to start testing next week. That cable trade was the only one I would have entered this week if I would have been up to see it haha.

As you can tell from recent posts, it's been a little stressful for me lately (understatement ). If you have been following this thread, you will know that my income is derived from a combination forex trading and contract programming.

Trying to trade the $100 live account has become too impractical for me ie when a trade setup occurs, I have to choose between the small thread account or my personal account. Obviously choosing to trade from the small account seriously impacts on my income.

Earlier this week, I decided to got back to trading only my main personal account as I now rely on the income from that account. This means the $100 account for this thread will have to sit idle for a while.

I hope you guys can understand.

Trade examples is all I'm looking forward to, the small test account means nothing to me at this point, so don't worry about it. It doesn't matter which account the trades were placed, as long as there are trades being placed and when free time provides, to be able to post those examples for us to study, that's all it really matters.

Thanks for all your help , I wonder were you get all the time . I have been trading my demo account and doing much better since I bought your DashBoard and installed some of the THV indicators. I will start trading my live account again , when I gain a little more education and experience. I have been able to pick up 15 to 20 pips a night when the markets are slow, and I know this is not the best time to trade but thats the only time I have. Again, Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge.

Thanks for your positive comments. After getting burnt badly, I decided to play safe and grab my 10 pips rather than aim for more and end up loosing. as everyone says 10 pips is better than no pips.

Stratman,

It doesn't matter as long as you keep posting your views, strategy, and of course, the good indi. We all enjoy this thread.

BTW, just have your Dashboard but can't test it due to market is closed today (HKT - Sat 1930 now).

Just 1 little question to clarify - my broker is Alpari-uk, it used to GMT+1, and my local time is GMT+8, should I simply put these 2 nos. into relevant inputs?

Cheers

I can answer that!

In your case (with Alpari-uk) to let your dashboard work properly you set the pw datetime.brokertimezone on 1
When the market is closed, you will see a time error. That's normal, but when the market is open it has to be fine (without the error message) then your dasboard works as it's ment to be.

To display the markethours right in the dashboard with your localtime, you set the pw datetime.showaslocaltimes on true

That's all that’s important to change

Very happy that I bought the dashboard and studied the THV thread and my hats are off to Stratman and all the other programmers/developers for these systems.

I don't think that I'm making the most of it, however, so I was wondering if it would be possible to set up a meet in a chatroom and go through a few live trades. I think it would be invaluable to see what's on my dashboard, and reference what I'm thinking as a set-up forms (or aborts), as other more experienced traders execute in real time.

Just an idea. Could be a one-time event, or monthly, quarterly...

Unfortunately, I'm a perfectionist. As a professional programmer, I'm easily dissatisfied with the quality of my work. For instance, my website pipware.com was put together quite hurriedly and I didn't think it really showed my talent

Well, there wasn't much happening over the weekend ... wife was away. So I took the opportunity to spruce up the site. I'm still not finished but I'm much happier with it.

I'm particularly pleased with the clocks ... if you go to the site, look closely as they are live . I quite like the slider on the main page highlighting the different aspects of my work ... the slide changes every 20 sec.

I have only been able to test in firefox and explorer so far. Since the technology I'm using is quite extreme, I would appreciate any feedback on how pipware.com looks in other browsers

Hopefully, People don't get lost with the new layout ... still a work in progress though
