Im still watching this pair to see if it could get to the 0.8833/50 area, my bias is long until it gets to this area though I will not play the long as chances of being shaken out are high. I prefer to only play in the direction of the long term trend (i.e daily) as per your BAT analysis, i.e short to the 0.8500 level

Hi. I currently use Metastock charting software which is similar to MT4. I am really impressed with your work on the DeMark indicators. Is there any chance you could share the code with me so I can try to convert it to the Metastock language? Thanks.

We have removed the lower BAT support now giving the power back to the bears. However, the general outcome following a lower BAT support breach is a bear squeeze. With this in mind, and the fact that we have just completed TD buy setups on the 4 hour and 1 hour, and we have completed TDF buy setups on the 30 minute and 5 minute, I have taken a light long position at 89.32 with a stoploss at 89.09.

Thanks for all the information you are providing. I started looking at the earlier posts and earlier thread and was looking for clarification on the meaning of a bullish thrust. Would it be defined as two consecutive positive closes? Or maybe two consecutive positive closes with the second close at the high?

Maybe it has been also mentioned somewhere but is there a rule for confirming a thrust to prevent it from 'recycling'? Thanks.

I added another position on a pull back and have chosen the 30 minute TDST resistance level of 89.70 as my partial profit level where I will exit half my position.

Thanks for the reply, good thread, and keep up with the updates.

I think I understand now. Explanation is a close above the previous bars high in a bullish thrust. So in post #1 in your example bar 12 was a bullish thrust and a stop was hit one pip below the low plus the body on probably candle 16. It 'recycled' and had a second bullish thrust, you wrote Entry B, to enter again. That is where you also mentioned two tries max for that setup.

Foggy do you feel comfortable with the current setup method or do you think it needs a lot more tweaking? Or asked another way, has the current method been profitable for you without big drawdowns?

Yes, that is my recommendation for each setup as very often the second thrust bar will bring a positive outcome.

I certainly feel very comfortable with this method and the drawdowns. I would describe TDF as a both a low risk entry, and a market signal method. However, to pick out the correct entry to take is more complex and requires multi-timeframe analysis and an understanding of the bigger picture. TDF can be used as an entry method on any timeframe, although I prefer to take entries on the 30 minute or lower to reduce risk. Although TDF as a signal of market exhaustion can be used and should be used on every timeframe from weekly to 5 minute. The key is to take the entries where price approaches a key daily, weekly or monthly level based on your own analysis and assuming you have atleast two or three TDF signals on differing timeframes.

Basically, I don't think the actual system needs to be tinkered with it is just the understanding of when to look for the setups. It might be hard work to begin with but I believe it is worth it. Nothing ever comes without hard work and I personally want to make that hard work as straight forward as possible and don't want to spend time looking at sophisticated systems with stochastics, RSI, Clouds or pitchforks, no disrespect to people who use them. I want to know what has happened, why it has happened and what price the market has respected in the past and have no reliance on lagging indicators. My analysis with the BAT, TD and thrust is all price based with no lag and gives me levels to play with on a long-term basis and my TDF method gives me the signal to enter assuming the market is showing signs that it will again respect the chosen levels.

Having made a 30 minute TD sell setup before we could hit the TDST resistance at 89.70 I have closed half my position at the low of the 9th bar and moved the remaining position to BE. I will patiently hold the remaining postion and reassess a target tonight after todays action from the daily chart.
