What Offshore Brokers Accepting US Accts?

Can anyone recommend some offshore brokers that are accepting US residents? Half of the broker sites offshore are blocking US IP address, and the other half I've found aren't excepting US apps. I have been with FXPRO since the switch over from North Finance and have been very happy with there service (love that 500:1 leverage), but only have a week till they boot us out. Thanks Obammy! I'm feeling the socialist love here!

That's actually a good question. Well I guess FxPro booted US customers out for a reason (probably because of the first NFA regulation to limit Forex to 100:1 leverage) so I don't see how any other offshore broker could accept US accounts.

Osiris fx is an offshore broker in the BVI. They are a direct market access (STP) broker without a dealing desk. The prices you get come directly from top tier banks and with no interference from the broker. They just offer the platform to deliver these bank prices to the trader. Super fast execution! Funds are held in a NFA CFTC registered liquidity provider's bank account.

forex.com, fxcm, saxo bank, Deutsche bank, ig markets, mig bank. are all non us based banks/brokers that offer spot forex and accept US based clients. Some of the others that do not accept us clients is probably becuase the spot fx is linked to cfd or spread trading account. But there are a lot of firms and most of the firms registered with the nfa and cftc right now accept us clients.

I'm with ATC Brokers, which is FXCM. They were originally connected with FXCM-US, but once the FIFO & hedging stuff happened, they moved all of their accounts to FXCM-UK; we just had to sign a document for the transition.

So I know you can do it that way (thru ATC), but not sure if you could go directly to FXCM-UK or not. In 2007, I asked a London broker (BGC) if I could open an individual account there as a US resident, and he told me I'd need $10MM! I don't know if that's a regulation (I think BGC is just FSA regulated, not NFA), but if it is, maybe all of ATC's US accounts are considered 1 "block" account that's over $10MM?

Anyway, just sharing that as it's at least one option I know of that's available to Americans...

I will check some of these out. I have heard good and bad about fxcm.uk, anyone care to give some input on them. I have had accounts with regulated US brokers in the past (fastbrokers as one) and had my acct locked down for months because of regulations. Have had better experience with offshore non regulated brokers. US supposed to be the land of opportunity. Bullshit!

My only experience with FXCM is through ATC (through which I get ECN MT4), and I can say that the ATC guys are great. Very honest, and totally go to bat for you if there are any FXCM issues. I've gotten refunds/account credits a couple of times when there were technical snafus; just asked the ATC guys and no problem; didn't even have to talk to FXCM.

So really my accolades go to ATC, but what I can say about FXCM is that their spreads are quite good (except around news), and execution has been acceptable. I've heard a lot of the horror stories about them, but so far so good (been with them a little over a year).

I concur. ATC Brokers is one of the 2 brokers I trade with and I am very happy with the service, execution, spreads are one of the tightest I have seen and low commissions. Not to mention 200:1 leverage and no NFA BS.

Anyone have anything to say about Fin FX??? they accept u.s. clients, seem o.k, but not regulated except in Finland. This NFA BS is a real pain. Just dont understand why so many europe brokers bow to them and do not accept u.s. clients. If it a clearing issue or what??

I usually use tradersway, FXCM for ECN trading and retail..the last I heard on this subject both do accept US based clients - no issues. I'm sure there're a few more out there, you will need to contact the CS for each broker to make sure there're no hangups in accepting US traders..

All it takes is a liquidity line from a US based broker or bank. In order to get the liquidity they are forced to comply with US regulation.

additionally you should avoid terms like U.S. clients, U.S. citizens etc. The term this applies to is "U.S. RESIDENTS" to avoid confusion.

Going to try to revive this old thread. So tired of bouncing around with different Offshore Brokers. So many of them are crooks. Does anyone have one they recommend and currently using. I have one now that seems fair but having a hell of a time getting money in and out of account. The others I have are flat out crooks. I used to trade with FXpro before the rules changed and had no complaints.

It seems it is getting harder and harder to get a decent Offshore broker that accepts US residents. How many have opened offshore corps to be able to do this?????? All help is appreciated.

Thanks! I will check them out. I have accounts with about 5 offshore brokers now. 4 of them are crooks. One of them plays every game in the book. I feel sorry for the new guys because it would be almost impossible to make money with them.

MB trading accepts US resident but only offer 50:1 leverage and are regulated like US.
Looking for high leverage accounts as I like to deposit least amount possible which lowers my risk for loss of my personal money going away.
