Actually, yes it is. I am waiting to see if we go a little lower. I think it's possible, if this pinbar triggers I would go ahead and buy. But to be honest, I still want to see it just a little bit lower.

Long term it's a buy from what I can tell.

This is EURCHF weekly, is this what you meant? but I use to look at them like the AUDCHF chart

Right, and you have to keep in mind that both trend lines and horizontal S/R lines provide S/R. However, I don't really find anything lower then a weekly trend line to be worthy or concern.

Chris, This might be somewhat off topic in here.

I was surfing arnd looking for info on Gartley 222 patterns when I came around a forex forum discussing something called "Tactica Adversa". It looked like Trendline based albeit requires quite a bit understanding of the market.

The reason of my asking is your chart posted on the blog:

The lines on this chart look quite similar to what the "Tactica Adversa" chart do. I might be wrong.

With a sell off like we just had, I would probably look to sell in about 100-150 pips. Do I think it could bounce back there? Of course, but downside is where the obvious momentum is.

I don't know what that is. Sorry. If you are referring to the white line as well, be advised that it's the fib line that this charting package uses. The purplish one is my only real trend line on this chart.

Hi,

Anyone of you guys trade the Hang Seng Index Futures? I'm looking for historical tick data going back 2-4 years, the cheapest I can find is 175 GBP, even 450 for 4 years data, who knows some of you might know a freebie somewhere on the net.

it's very popular in my country, and since I'll be working as an introducing broker in a few months, I'd like to spend some time to find an SR+PA method in a lower TF to trade them intraday, so I'll be needing the tick data to test in forextester.

i will look to short it if it break 1.400 or if it pullback to 1.43 area .

Alright guys, what are we making of the EURCHF? I'm seeing a 2day pin on my feed and it's in the same region as early 2009 - are we seeing the bottom?

Hi Chris et al,

I have been reading thru some of these threads by yourself,James16 and others. I have been learning as much as I can and see what suits me. Start of this year, I have decided to jump in with little bit of real money ( I did some paper trading for last 6 months, but I think I will learn better when real money is on the line). I am starting with very small amount and a micro account ( 1k - > 10 pips=1 dollar). I know it is very small and most of you might have that much as a part of your risk/trade :-). I guess thats all I can afford to lose as I start this journey. This is my money to spend so I can practise and learn from my mistakes.

- If at the end of the year, I lose everything in the account, I will say goodbye to Forex and feel good that I at least tried and LEARNT it is not for me.
- If at the end of the year, I have same amount in my account that I start with. I will be happy I learnt a lot w/o spending any money ( other than the interest I would have received on that money)

- If at the end of the year, I have received more than 10% returns. My journey continues :-). And I will donate that surplus to the charity. I believe in giving back to the society I live in, and really liked what Chris refers to on his main page.

Why this forum?
I feel individuals on this forum have most probably gone thru what I am currently going thru and nuggests of wisdom they have shared here on the forum are invaluable. I have tried paper trading few systems before and this probably is the best one I have seen. With this system, I am comfortable to open a trade, in case of other systems, I felt like I was gambling.
I hope to make real money with this. Let's see, time will tell.

Why am I posting this?
Well always good to put thoughts on the paper. It feels like when I post this , you are watching if I am doing what i said I am going to do ( may be you are not :-) ). Feels like it puts some onus on me to go thru this all the way to the end of the year.

Looking forward to learning from you.

i wouldnt give up just if you lose everything in one year,
well you can give up if your not passionate about trading but a lot of people on here have lost a lot of money from there rookie years but kept at it and now have recovered a lot of their losses and are now living the dream.....
