Depends on what you mean by "..to see which way the market is going". The trend may be up on a daily chart but if I see a good trade moving down on the 10 minute chart, I won't hesitate a second to take it.

You say you trade short time frames, so you should know this better than anyone.

My trends are based on S10 and M1 charts, my SMA's work out the same value wise on both, M1 is lacking a really short SMA and gains a longer SMA why I need both, these well EMA's are how I view the current direction.

What the trend on the D1's is, isn't really going to add anything useable to my 2min 20second 16EMA S10!!

Still a works in progress, only had S10 charts for 2weeks and been very busy, up a bit this week though.

If you don't mind Turvyd, could you tell me ( I don't want to know HOW you trade) is it smas or emas you use, and which ones on the 1 min chart?

All EMA's currently, M1 EMA26, EMA60, EMA200.

You need the S10 chart though ( Tried for ages without ) to see the turn up and the fail to exit with a small enough loss.

I'd guess most of the Mini Lot brokers don't put your order up they really on most people lose so t hey just take there money and pay out much less than they take in sadly.

Never been 100% sure what the deal is here.

I find your last comment a bit contradictory. How can you say that you don't believe in "predictions" above H4 and at the same time believe you can see those and adapt faster in really short term TFs.

Charts are a technical "construction" to rationalize price moves in a quantifiable way. Underlyings on price/markets moves don't give a damm if a chart is M1 or a Yearly chart. So is as valid/good or invalid/awful to predict/measure/trade a move in M1 or in a daily chart the only thing that change is the TIME required and Range you are trying to bet on.

While you probably can capture an intraday change in direction before London open for a few ticks because you recognize a certain pattern, indicator, order flow or whatever you are using, other traders may have a couple of weeks to clearly see that EUR/USD has changed direction at 1.19 and reversed to the next R or whatever (the TA reason, target, etc is as irrelevant as your reason to take a trade in a small timeframe)

In simple words, if you are trading without charts reading (T&S as a stupid example) and getting in and out only based on bid/ask action despite any timeframe you may have valid point in your previous comment but even if you do that you can't dismiss any other trading system just because is outside of your time/range scope.

I don't believe in predictions, M1 or S10 or anything else either, infact there is no way to predict anything ever in this game, it's to complex and hidden from us to do so.

BUT.... you can see the Momentum is pushing the market higher on shorter TF's, Live and profit from them, I don't know when it will stop and turn, you just need to adapt to it as it does it.


There are times, like the drop from 2.10 GU to 1.35 area where momentum translates well into D1 charts but there not often enough to make a full time living off.

UR so wrong!!

A major level once broken will almost always get retested, ON EVERY TF.

Every trend is most likely a re-test of a break of SR two timeframes higher.

I was going to state the obvious but think about it for yourself.
