what is the best forex book?

Best advice I ever listened to - buy one book or one trading system and don't stop working on it until you are profitable. Following this was the best thing I ever did in my trading life.

What forex books are best: NONE.Before you buy any book go back to school at babypips.com,you will learn most of what those books contain.
Start there first and then decide if you wan't to read any book.There is also a good download site where most of those books can be downloaded
free or become a member for a very small fee and download all the books and trading method you can handle.I will not spoil the fun by posting that site name here.

It's "Trading in the zone" for me. The psychological aspect of trading is very important and this book gives me a great mindset to start with.

According my opinion very useful could be also to read some active threads in forexfactory.com.

I like Kathy Lien's stuff a lot..she is quite good.

I get analysis from Kathy Lein and Boris Sclossberg every day, and I need a better education to understand it all. What I have read from reviews, Kathy and Boris's new book doesn't touch on specifics, where as John Murphy gets down to the nitty gritty. I have ordered books by Louis Mendelsohn, John Murphy, and I'm going to buy Joe Dinapali's book.
Lou Mendelsohn has taken thirty years to develop forex software that uses neural programming which enables it to forecast successful trades 78% of the time. They give accurate forecasts 1,2, and 10 days in advance. Even so a good education is the key, unless you want to blindly follow someone elses picks all the time.

Teaching is not easy. I like teachers who remember when they didn't know anything, and approach it from that standpoint. Like the man says everyone is different, so find an instructor who best fits you.

As far as the general information about the forex market you can get that for free.

If you want to learn how to make money in forex a good start might be to try and find out who makes money trading and learn from them. Read all there posts.

Ps; Try to understand their thinking first, ask questions second to help understand there thinking. My intent is not to imply that I can teach you anything, however I have found it funny that those I have honestly tried to shorten their learning curve will not apply themselves to what was shown them.

I won't say it's the best book since I didnt read them all but it's a good book written by Victor Desperando a genuine trader.

He said he wrote this book like the book he'd like to have read when he started.

A lot of people seem to like Trading In The Zone by Mark Douglas. It's ok I suppose, but for a psychology book, I found Brett Steenbarger's "Enhancing Trader Performance" to be better. Good luck

I've recently started reading 'The market makers hedge'. Still on chapter I, so I'll post more comments on it as soon as I finish it.

The book is focused not on Forex though, but I think at least gives the right begining steps for risk management and stuff like that.

I wouldn't give much thought to any book that's published. Unless its for moral boost or something.......

According my opinion during the learning process the good books have the added value, but nobody will be successful just buying and reading some good books.
The trading performance could be improved e.g. reading some opinions about the different systems in some forums, studying some learning materials (e.g. videos), discussing the ideas with a mentor, start using some commercial trading systems. The most important is the practice.
I suggest the following books:"TECHNICAL ANALYSIS OF THE FINANCIAL MARKETS" by John J. Murphy and "TRADING FOR A LIVING" by Dr. Alexander Elder

I actually got interested in trading after reading a friends copy of Trading In The Zone by Mark Douglas and do recommend it.

I've read quite a few books but cannot pick one that I would say is BEST. I would recommend reading those with the most practical advice and info on Forex. And don't just stick to books! You can always take online courses, join webinars or consult the expertise of other people familiar with the Forex market.
