How do you come up with the number 1.0850 ?? I don't believe predictions are possible 4hours out let alone days / weeks so basing this on charts of fundemental reasons ??

I'm not the 1 preaching 10 - 15% per year check around thats the general H4 consensus and anything above this they laugh at.



Predictions explained, The Direction of the market is visible, but when / where that direction will change is not predictable, why I'm a Direction trader in really short TF's as it enables me to see it quicker and get out quicker when it runs out.

We'll see it 1.0850 holds hey, it's not that far away and the D1 direction is down, double bottom at 1.0200 just held though needs to stay under 1.0666 area to support the down trend.

Hey, YOU were the one who mentioned this, so you must be preaching it or do you just mindlessly listen to "the general H4 consensus" without actually doing any thinking for yourself?

I say let "the general H4 consensus" laugh at me, I'll continue to trade the daily charts and higher and will laugh all the way to the bank!

Anyways whether it reaches 1.0850 is not the point, this is what my analysis is telling me but I will make profit TRADING LONG TERM no matter if it gets there or not.

The point is you asked for proof, I gave it to you and you back peddle rather than accept that traders can make big time profits with long term position trading.

The current close is 173 pips higher than the open on today's daily bar!!! I'd say that the current direction is up!

If you mean that there has been a downtrend for the last month, then I suppose you don't believe that a change in trend can be anticipated in advance either.

TF is subjective to me, don't matter be it M1, H4, H36. It's the application that counts. Wouldn't make sense to trade the D1 on a 12 hour 50 pip range now does it?

H1's match pretty much, but you'll find 3 or 4 different H4 charts depending on the Chart providers start time, D1 charts you can literally have upto 24 of them, but I guess the Weakly Candles read the same.

There really is no stastically proven predictive advantage to candlestick formations anyway.

Anyone making long term predictions, sticking to them rigidly and not adapting to changing market conditions, I simply do not believe to be profitable long term!!

I absolutely believe in adapting to the market vs. any type of superimposing of patterns etc. on the face of market in the hopes of history repeating itself, a self-fulfilling prophesy phenomenon taking place etc. Of course, these both happen but, I'm not going to put money down on them happening in a timely enough fashion to make money over the long haul.

Mostly I ask myself: To what degree am I projecting my notions, wishes and fears upon the market right now? The more I am able to eliminate this "screen", as Mark Douglas puts it in The Disciplined Trader, the better off I am - now that's the truth!

That's it for me on this thread - the debates are too nasty-tempered to get into here. Too bad.

I swear this forum has gone downhill over recent months but anyway...

The truth about trading is...there is no 'truth' about trading; that's what makes it a 'market'.

Trading of intraday prices is somewhat more difficult due to the necessity to react quicker to the changing dynamics of that particular session, but to simply call it 'noise' is a fallacy and shows ignorance.

'Timeframes' are also a fallacy which the market neither recognises nor respects. To quote Birdt: "There are no 'time frames', just clusters of orders at untested break out points."

I love how many people seem to speak in absolute truths, when infact there are none.
