Thank you TFI for starting this thread and thanks to all the TFI-ers for making it a lively and lovely thread :-P.

Although it took me almost a month to go through this and a "lounge" thread I have really enjoyed the journey through it's pages. Sometimes I've ended up reading till early morning hours - couldn't wait to see the next post :-)

I am starting again from the post #1 .... a lot of "stuff" that have to be digested or as TFI would say "INTERNALIZE" it. Talking about #1 post .....there is a 1 sentence summary of TA there: ....." the rigidity of the parameters used in the studies imposes rigid responses to changing market conditions ". I should add that above sentence refers to "predictive" approach to TA which TFI is very much against - hence the title of the thread.

" N I M B L E " is the word used by TFI more then any other (if I am not mistaken) , and obviously for the reason. TFI backs up "nimble" with real trade examples he has made. He is also constantly pointing to "rigidness" in other traders approaches .... whether it be size of a scout, attack and rescue, TA ..... in short ....... MO and MM.

I am aware also how this approach is not for "chickens" and I might be the next chicken with it's head cut off by the markets .... lol. I am not trying to be negative ...... just that I have a whole "family" of spiders on my back from years of losses and bad habits in trading various markets. If my head does go off it will not be due to bad teaching of MO and MM presented by TFI here, but my own shortcomings.

I hope I am not too far from the core of TFI teaching and I want again to thank FTI and all other folks for keeping this thread running and your time reading this.

The problem with new traders is that they think too much.
By the time you place your scout out , you would already had sized up what kind of markets, and some strategies on the MM. When you are fighting you just have to reference your position. Whats more is there to thionk.
If you are wrong then you have to formulate rescue, or throw in the towel. From the dance you have to be aware of your general state of book, thats all.
As new info comes on stream you just have to reference her behaviour against your exposure. and you just get on with it.

If you respond badly, there is no way but to lose money, only that you may have to restrategise for damage control.
When you are on form, the profit takes care of the attack risk and you just gotta do what you gotta do. Just stay with your normal MM skews, sometime syoumay under do , sometimes over, but who cares if book is good. Just don't go over comfort MM zone.

You analyse and reanalyse, then you begin a self doubt cycle, and then at the end, all your thinking is just waste. When things happen , just have to react.

Work hard. experience will guide you.

REaccess your thinking only when things are bad, Why do people not just press on when all is good. You gotta internalise the training.

Too much thinking and listening to opinions. I suggest focus on what you are doing and her, FOCUS !

London, January 5. Plenty Of option expiries in the vicinity today, with a decent size Cable strike looming at 1.6340 and lesser at 1.6300. In EUR/USD there are good size 1.44"s and fair size 1.4375"s, while in USD/JPY the better size strikes lurk at 90.00, 91.00 and 91.60. Talk emerging this morning of 1.48"s in EUR/CHF.
