Bolinger Bands and MACD

hmm wanna ask the experts around here..mind guiding me on how do u see the tread using Bolinger Bands and MACD..dun quite understand it..thanks alot

then apply that for breakouts and trends.

hi..sorry..i tried the macd..hmm from the babypips picture and others..it seem theres two line crossing each other..but for mine there's only 1 line..

Forget the MACD, just learn to use the Bolinger Bands.

hmm just wanna ask 3 qns.

1. is there any difference between MA and EMA?? i read from the book..he teaches EMA,,but from mt 4 i can only see MA..thanks

2. for bollinger band..what other indicator should i use to double confirm the signal??

3. isit recommend to use both ma and bollinger band tgt in same graph??thanks

You can put indicators that would put pivot points for you. Some indicators even put the support and resistance points. You just need to search them on Forex Factory or other web sites. Bolinger Bands, and MACD have been around for a while and there is reason they are still in use. I would still use them.

You can change the setting from MA (or SMA, simple moving average) to EMA (exponential moving average) in the drop down menu:



You can also change to which price type you wish to apply the indicator.

In the EMA calculation, more weight is given to the latest data (or latest periods in a series) while MA (SMA) is just the average price over the "n" periods.
