As the Trix indicator is not part of the dashbaoard, I haven't put a lot of effort into it while getting v3 dashboard out. Hope to get the thv minis, coral and trix indicators all sorted very soon

Well, I just downloaded the new dashboard, but it's too big for my setup lol. Because of that right side Gray area of the THV Trix indicator, I can't fit it onto my chart for my setup without it covering the entire Trix box... it's too bad, adjusting the chart sizes doesn't help as the candles will get hidden behind the gray box. I guess I'll have to wait for your Trix indicator to be fixed of the color bug so I can use that instead of THV's Trix indicator to solve this problem for me. Thanks...

Hi R.o.l,

Yes you can upload more than 2 pictures and best to put them 'in-line' so all can see. I'll do a video tutorial to show how to do it (shortly).

I'll put your pictures here so people can see them as they read. I'll download your platform and see if I can figure out what might be happening. Thanks for your patience.

Am I only allowed to upload 2 pictures here on FF? Now attachments doesn´t work so I have to upload them somewhere else.

I have another problem. There is something wrong with the pip counting and the lines that show the different market times. To show this better I have created two market times: 17-18 GMT+1 and 18-19 GMT+1. Please look at the 3 pictures. I hope you can see what I mean. I made this pic from Broco Trader (broker time setting is right GMT+1) but I have the same problem when I use ODL(GMT+0).

Thanks for your work!
I think it is not really necessary to download the broco platform. Like I said its the same with ODL (I guess you use this one). Just put for example the last market hour in one of the rows and see what happens. My local time : GMT+1 Open 21:00 Close 22:00. In your time I think: GMT+13 Open 9:00 Close 10:00. Then look if your ODL platform shows out the right pip range of this trading hour in the dashboard and if it puts the right row-High row-Low lines on your chart.

stratman has been involved in trading for 5 years and lost plenty of money to EAs, systems, mentors etc ($25K total ). He hates the fact that so many people claim to have the 'holy grail' and wonders why they would sell it if it makes them so much money! stratman thinks these people don't make money from trading, only from their non-effective products

stratman knows that the indicators and training he offers are worth a lot of money but he isn't greedy eg he knows someone that charges $700 US for a manual and $5,000 for a one year membership to learn what stratman will teach you here .

stratman needs you to understand that he makes the bulk of his money from trading and software contracting ie not from dashboard sales. As a contract programmer, stratman usually earns $60-80 USD/hour and he aims for 40 pips per day (minimum) from trading. Hopefully you can see that he has no need to earn money from one or two dasboard sales per day!

So why does he sell it? He has this weird notion that when people pay for a forex product they become more committed to using it and hopefully they will even contribute their ideas for future development? It also goes some way to keep stratman motivated in providing quality software and support ... because when someone pays him for something, it makes him accountable to them.

Don't waste money on expensive systems like stratman did in the past ... they didn't each him anything different than what he got for free

cheers
stratman

stratman enjoys helping people and will support you for all things he is involved in. Here's a few tips:

1) stratman lives in New Zealand (GMT+12 ... currently GMT+13 due to dayligt saving). Consider this when it takes a few hours for him to respond.

2) Anything useful for others eg bug reports, install issues, trade questions etc should be posted to this forum. This will help everyone as there will be a record that can be read in the future. You don't need to be too reserved ie ask him anything ... others probably want to ask the same thing but too scared?

3) Install skype from here. You can 'type' chat, 'audio' chat or video call for free. Add stratman as a contact. His skype username is 'stratman_fx'. In your first message, say what your Forex Factory name is.

4) Install teamviewer form here. If you need to show stratman your live screen, this is what he uses. You can even allow stratman to move your mouse if you want . Sometimes this is the fastest way to sort out a problem. It's simple to use and best of all it's free.

5) Contact page at pipware.com. When you need to send personal information like your email address, pipware registration details, paypal details etc ... this is the best method.

6) Even though stratman is very dedicated to helping the forex community, please remember that he has a life outside forex ie a wife and three teenage kids .... he may not always be at his computer when you want him to be

cheers
stratman

I have lost many thousand of euros in those things, burned other thousands of euros accounts and about a trading year because of those kind of people (and for my personal ignorance and lack of experience).

I regret not having met Stratman and the THV Thread first before, and all the sincere people here!

Love you and appreciate you guys!

I've just been helping Froggy10 installing on vista. He allowed me to connect to his pc and move his mouse around and we got the install sorted.

I have noticed this problem on vista and windows 7 before. The problem presents itself as 'unable to write' files to the metatrader directories.

For some reason, metrader installs all it's files as 'read only' on your hard drive. Even files that you personally copy into it's sub-directories. To fix this, right-click on the metatrader installer and select properties.

Here's me doing it for ODL.

Right-click the the metatrader directory and choose properties.

Attached Image

If the Read Only box is not empty, then you have read only files and this may cause problems installing indicators.

Attached Image

Click the read only box until it is clear and then click apply. Choose to apply to all sub folders as shown.

Attached Image

Problem of indicator installs should be fixed.

I made a video showing how to get pictures into the forum posts (in-line).

I also explain how to get small parts of your screen saved as images including right-click menus etc ... when I watched the video after making it, it appears a little tedious ... sorry. Anyway it gets the point across.

Watch the video on youtube here.

The printkey download is here.

Hi Stratman,

The Dashboard is great! I have a question about the fractal arrows. I tried to turn them off on my chart by setting pw.fractals.ArrowsOn to false but the arrows still display on the chart. Am I doing something wrong? Also, I have many bars that have both an up and down arrow but only one fractal was broken so I believe there should only be one arrow displayed.

Hello Stratman,

Very detailed and well put together. Now if you can make an expert advisor to trade exactly that way it would be the icing on top of the cake.

Regards,
Jeff

Yeah, I forgot he didn't put that into the template. But, the dashboard gives you all of the info. Maybe he will post the template. Sorry for the mis-information.
