The buy at 6081 at 6am was in line with the rules. Missed that one....

The DP at 6114 held as a Lower High and then the Days Open at 6105 was broken too, so I sold again....

I also see that the high just over an hour ago was at the 50% retrace of yesterdays range....

Euro and Swissy retraced to their respective 61% areas and € just tested and turned back from its Days Open level....its still above its DP which is a little under its 4500 level...

LOL - we're like twins - I too sold the pull back towrads the 30 ema.....I'd like Swissy to help by bouncing up off its DP.....

Hi,

I notice that you both monitor EU as well as GU.

I have read that EU is the biggest turnover of all pairs but GU moves further (usually) so I guess that is why you mainly trade GU.

Can you tell me please, does the GU follow the EU or are you looking for both to act in unison.

Example, if the GU starts to go down but the EU doesn't, would you still go short or would you wait for the EU to confirm the swing.

Also, if the EU starts to go down would you sell GU or would you wait for GU to swing as well to confirm, before entry to GU.

Also, how correlated are the GU and EU in the UK morning session, perhaps 60% of the time or 80% ???
I guess the differing news releases would effect the correlation but there must be some link or you guys wouldn't use it

Well Swissy obliged and cable took no notice, so the entry was a little premature.....I hope that it respects this last LH which was at a 1 min time line...

Closed for a small loss after the last attempted push down failed....I'll be tempted to buy if it breaks the days open level

As often happens, the Euro has much clearer action to trade, although in a narrower range.

After cable's initial LO drop its just been sideways chop.....lets hope that the Trade Balance due in 5 minutes starts a move.....either way, I have to go out soon and will be back for NY.....

3 trades today.

1) HL buy after a nice hammer on 15 min.
2) LH sell after the shooting star.
3) Buy after the engulfing HL candle closed above even number, out at BE.
Then became sideways chop.

Half an hour ago cable put in its day's high at 6171 - 20 pips under yesterdays high. It was in a 5 min shooting star.

Since then there has been a LH at 8am est and I now have a small sized short, which needs confirmation by the breaking of the MR1 / 6150 level - this will also turn the 30 ema negative....

The US Trade Balance is due in 20 mins - expected at 34.9B

This could be the reversal. TWT.

There were some nice longs on the way up, though, for us who were at the screens
