no got stopped out at +1 again 15 mins later when the bluddy thing spiked back up 20 pips in 5 mins and took me out before going exactly where i wanted.

just cant get a thing at the moment.

Remember those moments, take a weeks holliday, that will cure things mostly.....

PS, You use bluddy narrow SL distances......

yeah but im not going to let a trade go 20 pips in profit and then end up negative on me as that REALLY pisses me off , so i move the stop up quick.

shorted audusd a while ago at 9314 when i saw sellers jumping in just before the nzd news, managed to get stopped at +1 again and watched it drop 20 pips and its since been 30 pips.

im getting the direction right probably 8 out of 10 but i can guarantee the 2 times out of 10 that i dont move the stop will be the 2 times it goes flying the other way!

need to find a couple of 50 pippers from somewhere to get the confidence back.

I'm not an expert, but I think that random PA (in GJ) is too large to follow this attitute.
Unless you are a good scalper I think that's your problem atm.
I'm not a scalper, so I use SL's which are appr. 200pips away from transaction price. If it goes wrong it goes heavily wrong, but my experience is that by this, you give enough random price room to fetch the real idea behind your expectation.

i tried hard,but cant see that the gbp/jpy will resume his uptrend past the 150 level. i can see it will slip through the 147 level and get support at 146.80 and will probably break that later on ..

There should be good support ar'd 147 area - I wouldn't give up on the upside just yet. . .

you ever thought about doing 1.5 - 2 times your size and cover 1/2 at 20pips then do your normal strategy with the other 1/2?

GJ ranging between Friday high - friday low ..a break of the low confirm 147.15 if broken then 146.00...a break of the high 150-151-153

Very quiet here only means ... no one knows what'll happen next. The PA is very weird - every time you think it's bottomed, it returns to inch - and only an inch - lower, then up she goes in a weird retrace mode, none of it in usual GY style. Volume on GY & cable seems to show lots of buying, you'd assume in advance of good news coming in ~30 min, yet I don't recall trade balance #'s move things too much. GL to all.

In from 147.7 and 55 pips up (as well as prematurely from before) ... decisions, decisions ... extreme funky PA underway, although good news is carrying this beast & GU upwards. Am certainly expecting a retest of that 147.7 in the next 45 minutes, but damnit, it looks like there's been lots of buying, and other portals have indicated the big boys have bought (GU at least) ... let's hope us short/mid term bulls get our way. Expecting a GU reach for 1.6172 & 1.6230/50.

IMO UJ is pulling too hard, expect 147.10 today

Adding AY longs as it falls.

GY not so convinced, but medium term AY plays look reasonable IMO.

Yeah, UJ's a downer, but it doesnt seem to be having significant impact on dragging GJ down. I'm hoping/thinking UJ's downage is done by NY's open, US $ bullish takes over & then combined w/sterling strength, up GJ goes, to test 149.5. USD/JPY buy orders are down @ 91.50/70, & that'll be good for at least a temporary or better bounce. Otherwise, I'll B/E my trade, and cry.
