Good work castlerock, if you are right with E/U then you will be making some serious pips on that move... I considered entering myself but my fear of the 1.44/1.45 support/resistance level has kept me out. My fingers are crossed for you though!

Thanks Dan makes perfect sense, i suppose it just depends on what time frame we are trading as things can look lots different from one to another. More reading today as still snowed in can not get the car of the drive

i think this is best strategy for forex
i will be here and wait for your analysis and if i can i also post my charts analysis based on fib & r&s & round numbers

Hi Pervaz,

Personally I don't like the action on EUR/USD at the moment. Not trendy enough! However, 1.4450 is a good level of s/r to trade from so that is something worth noting.

I must admit there is the odd moment when I look at other trade strategies (always looking for something easier!) but I always come back to trend trading - it just... works!

Hi all,

I am hoping to spend a little more time in this thread this year; so with that in mind I thought I would post a couple of charts showing the trades I am currently in (and hopefully will still be in when the markets re-open!).

Long AUD/USD @ 0.9150 after rejection of the trendline.

Short USD/CHF after continually failing to break through 1.0350.

PS... My U/J trade was stopped out for +150 last week.

am short in usdchf myself at 1.293, now waiting for retracements on audusd and audjpy

what a fantastic thread! just stumbled across this, i am so glad i found it. I keep stuffing around with different strategies but going with the trend always works. I found it hard to understand how to trend trade from a few other popular threads on here due to how vague they are... but this thread is great, easy to understand and very informative. i look forward to following this thread in 2010

exited this for 130 pips. had a very tight stop in view of the fact that it was hovering at near bottom

Coolshades entered short on USD/CHF soon after Dan. (When I learn how to put two quotes on the same reply, I will.)

I'm guessing that you entered these trades shortly after the reaction to the NFP numbers and the (not uncommon) almost 100% retrace. I've avoided trading anywhere near NFP release and I know many traders just write the day off.

Have you any general strategies re trading near NFP release and/or a specific strategy for entering a trade in the price behaviour following Friday's NFP release?

Hi Pervaz,

E/U is still suffering from a post New Year hangover! I would hold back on trading E/U until a trend emerges again! For now I would recommend taking a look at AUD/USD.
