No, I haven't seen Dean trade live. I was only trying to answer the part of your question that referred to not trading 30 mins before and after news. That was a post Big E posted early on in this thread...and that "rule" came from Craig Harris, not Dean; however, Craig's rule was to not trade within a 30-minute window of the *first news of the day*, not any and all news releases.

Try Compassfx Luk, you might find a video there explaining DM's stance. I would remind you that this thread is focused on how CH trades, not DM.

I have seen him trade but don't remember if it included anything about news.

Ok..For this week... First of all keep it simple!!!! Dont worry about all the indicators!!.Its what I like about the CH method,,,,This is how I trade his system. Good ,Bad or Ugly!! Time frame 15 min,,Stay out 15 min before and 15 min after a news release,,.Look for swings in the 50 - 60 pip range or more,, Stoch os/ob ,,Wait for candle color change,,,Enter break over or below round #s ie. 20, 50, 80, 00, Money Management rules are as follows, Risk 2-3%,,,Or whatever your risk tolarance is,, Initial stop should be placed above or below the previous swing candle,,,15-20ips in profit? Then sell half your position and either let balance run or take your profit at the second tier round #s,If you get stopped out on your first trade then double up your lots for the next swing, ,,If you get stopped out again then wait until the next session and start over,,,Depending on your time zone,,,,Trade,,1st 3 hours London session or 1st 3 or 4 hours of the NY session,,,,Or the 1st 1 or 2 hours of the Asian session,,,Thats it!!,,,Post your profits at the close Friday.....

Go4Pips... I like to post cleaner charts. So I always remove things I don't feel are necessary to make the point. Using CH's method is all about reversals, Tokyo Channel, time frame, etc. The ADR Calculator has nothing to do with his method.
Craig depends upon Stochastics to line up his trades... it's a confirmation to take or pass on each swing/trade. That is what this thread is focused on. I offered Synergy as an added confirmation method. Perhaps that was a mistake on my part.

JRPips8... Dean normally makes 50-80 pips in his live trading room starting at the N.Y. Open on a daily basis. 30+ on a crummy day with bad PA.

NeoRio... I'm just repeating what CH says about how he trades the news. Nothing more/nothing less.
ADR is not required as part of Advanced Synergy. I purchased it a year ago before CH's method went public. Check his Archived videos for more information please.

There are a lot of questions concerning how I trade personally. For those in the know it all depends upon what the market is doing... trending, ranging, etc. Along the way you learn how to make ajustments depending upon what the market is doing. You can only learn that from studying, observing and time on the front lines so to speak.

CH's method is fantastic for making pips for those who can trade the most active session: London Open. During that time period you have three markets open so there is lots of PA. Those times don't fit all traders schedule.

Synergy is a conserative method of trading. Works 24/7 but again you want momentum in the markets to make pips. Who wants to sit in front of there screen all day? Not me. This is also a fantastic method.

I actually prefer to trade the 1 hour charts at certain times of the day that give me a high percentage of return in the shortest amount of time. But... that's just my style that fits my personality. It offers bigger swings but the numbers CH uses on the 15 minute charts do not apply on a 1 hour chart. So I had to figure them out for that time frame by trial and error.

Again... this threads discussion is about CH's method on the 15 minute time frame.

I like to trade the different Market Opens where there is often a reversal or new swing. There is generally good momentum at the Opens too.

Learn the method discussed, tweak as necessary to fit you, your style and your personality. Don't change the basic rules for the 15 minute time frame if that is your TF of choice. Enjoy the added pips your making because of his method.

Both methods are not in a testing phase. They both win consistantly and are hard wired for success.

PipTalk is walking the walk, talking the talk and kicking bootae with the method. You can too if you stay focused and follow thru...

When you trade the H1 charts, do you use CH's method? (I promise I won't pursue this question, as I know we're concentrating on the M15...just need to know if this same method works on the H1).

NeoRio... I trade on the reversals just like CH. You will see that PA still goes to the BN's. You can trade CH's method on any time frame... See post #49.

Muppet... No Stochs on Synergy. Use the TDI. In fact use anything that makes you comfortable on your charts. Why? Because their your charts.

Wow PipTalk, absolutely great results! Which time zone are you located in? You traded last night's Tokyo session, but you didn't trade the London session?--then you woke up early and traded the NY session?

Yes ...I am on the west coast,,,So my time zones are around the 4:00-7:00 pm for the Asian And then I trade from 5:00am --to about 9:00 am for the NY ,,,,Like I said,,,I wish I could stay up for the London,,,But I am not as tough as the Big E!!! lol

What timezone does your broker use?--so I can find the trades you entered. Hmmm, I see you're on a demo account, I thought you were live. Nonetheless, great trades! Were all those the CH method? You use the regular candlesticks, right? I'm having a real learning curve with the Heiken Ashi candles...totally different. Candle patterns are no longer the same, though inside bars still form the same way, thank goodness!

Hi Nio,,,I am pretty much sticking to my post #304 as far as methodology,,,Also draw trendlines on your 1hr chart the toggle back to you 15 min chart and play off the s/r areas,,,and watch for stoch os/ob and reversal candle,,,Yes,,,I am just using CH method only
