Here's another example. Look at the Red Verticle Line. We have taken a long trade and at the point of the red line stochs has crashed flat on top. I'm blind at that point with stochs. Now look at the TDI indicator. It's telling me by monitoring the red and green line that the trade is continuing nicely in an upward trend. We even had a bounce and it continued. The green line is starting to point more to the right but the red is still continuing up. When the green crosses down over red I know a new swing is coming or has started.
By following the red and green lines on the TDI indicator I made 70+ pips more than if I had got all stresses and exited when the stoch hit the top thinking it was going to reverse then.
As you can see on my TDI... I remove the blue and yellow lines. I also change the dark green to lime. That's how I use that indicator. The yellow line is trader sentiment if you use it.

I'd suggest re-naming the thread "Big E's Blended Stochastics" or something similar.
Avoids the obvious connection to a commercial vendor selling expensive mentoring. It's also a more accurate description of your method, since you include elements of Craig Harris method but also add parts of the synergy method, stochastics and then provide your own interpretation of all combined.
Might help get you moved to the Trading Systems forum where you'll get more exposure & participation.
We're here to learn your method because it's an unique blending of Craig Harris, Synergy, and your own insights. Not just because of Craig Harris.

Gotcha. Makes a lot of sense. That's one of the issue with stochastics.... once it's hits OB / OS, it can't go much further thus reducing your opportunities to trade (using Craig's methods from the video's). Thanks for explaining.
You can use either one. The mq4 is the uncompiled source code and the ex4 is the compiled executable.
If you're not going to alter the source code, just put the ex4 in the experts indicators folder, restart MT, and pick it off the custom indicators list.

Good Morning All... For any of you who has signed up for the free nightly training video by Compassfx or went thru them to get your FXDD Demo account... you would have received an email a couple of days ago letting you know there was a free Craig Harris Webinar last night. It was great as a few members from this forum here would attest to. Here are some highlights & adjustments: 1. Using S/L of normally 35 pips on his trades. 2. He always targets his Big Numbers for exit targets (00,20,50,80,00)... shooting for 20+ pips per swing. 3. When there is a long run (60-100 pips) the next swing is often small. 4. Once any pair runs it's normal daily range the swings normally become smaller. 5. After the London close the G/U tends to range. 6. Craig trades the 1st three hours of the London session and the next 3 hours after the London close. 7. Most pairs have two long runs per day. 8. Really stressed how important it is to wait for the Tokyo Channel to be 40+ pips before trading any pairs. 9. Retracements start at the London close on G/U. 10. At the London close if Price Action is in the upper or lower quarter of the Tokyo Channel... look for retracements. Pretty cut and dried... enjoy. Big E

We need at least 40 pips. This is from the start from the Wellington to the end at midnight of NY. What if the market moves beyond 40 pips after the end of midnight, do we still continue to look for setups or abort that pair for the day.

Hi Mr E,
glad to see this thread. I am having difficulty with seeing the 12 to 1 and the 4 to 6 that Mr H stipulates. I see that he now has a new stochs indi that colours them yellow for go and red for stay.
Having said that I have just set up my charts and looking at E/U I think that it was, there were half a dozen trades signalled - with stoch support and another without that didn't run.
Cannot see the use of those fractals though, they don't stop until way after the fact.

As I said a few posts back he uses the fractals only for a visual identification where the tops and bottoms of the swings were. Did you notice his resist/support lines for the swings too. That indicator is in this thread if you want to use that.
He looks for his stoch lines to be at a 12-2 or 4-6 angle. Nothing is perfect all the time in the forex for sure. If it is correct 70-80% of the time... that gives you the Traders Edge which is so important when trading. If your using good money management rules, follow the system rules... you should be successful. Look how well PipTalk did his first week a couple of posts above. He increased his account size 12%!
It's impossible to see the clock angles until the trade gets going. You have to look at the reversal lines that are either hooking down or up to know the reversal is in progress or is about to start happening.
This style of trading does not fit everyones personality... and that's ok. With systems that work... if it fits, wear it. In years past I've used good systems but they just didn't fit my personality and so I got rid of them while others loved them.

I've watched a lot of the videos at compassfx and have my charts
setup as you suggest. I've been demo trading and getting about
70 pips a day. I've never been able to get 70 pips a day before
so I wanted to thank you for your help.
At first I was unsure about the 15 minute chart as I
traded the 1 and 5 minute chart in the past. I was more of a
scalper than a swing trader. But I'am making so much more
money now, how can you argue with success $$$. I'am feeling
very good about this way of trading. I'am pilling up the pips
in my demo account. It's a easy, less stress way to trade that is
more profitable. What's not to like...
