Virtually nothing for me on E/U or G/U for about 2 weeks now. Seems the good setups have just dried up.

Took break of 2 bar reversal above 21ma..new trend really not confirmed by ma's yet but with higher highs and higher lows it is looking like it. Looking for TP at highest swing high area. At BE now.

Update: Stop at BE hit.

Half postion closed at 1:1. Stop above BE..see what happens..

My first and probably last trade today.
Risk = 9, Profit = 18

Week total +4%

i am in already ! well if we see higher time frame resistances, then we should expect it as a mild runner!
Whenever i see mild or medium runners, i book partial profits at 1R and let the other have free trade ride!

I have my eye on the break of the daily inside bar..so you never know it could go for a bit.. A bit in the bank so pip positive worse case scenario..

Ever wonder why your pinbar indicator didn't pick out those two bars you entered on? (at least not on my feed).

Not knowing your rules, I shouldn't comment. But it is something you should reflect on. Success from less than stellar setups is known to be the downfall of many promising traders and has tripped me up on several occasions. Perhaps that's why I post B or C grade setups that shouldn't be traded.

It appears you are determining the validity of your plan by your result. In truth, you should know if it's a good plan before even entering the trade. This releases you from the emotion of having a 'winner or a loser,' since a good plan and execution/management of the plan makes a good trade. This post explains it better than I ever could:

Please know that this is not directed only to you Lindsay, but also to other new traders, and a reminder to me. These thoughts continue to pop into my head on occasion and I must beat them down.

Upon reflection, I think your 'pinbars' were better than mine, making them 'more' valid...

Thanks for your thoughts Jduester and you no doubt have made valid point in regard my trading. I switch from taking 1:1 ish trades to (recently) looking for runners and certainly havent nailed down my overall approach yet. having said that I do look for certain things and the 2 pins I have taken tonigh fit my criteria. They are not great pins but not that bad on my feed. They are not picked up by my pin alert as I have it set at open/close withing 33% of extreme and they must just miss out..But..They are well located according to how I see things and that is a very important part of an acceptable set up for me. I would normally have taken both for 1:1 but today I am looking at a daily setup that just might?? lend itself to a bigger move so I have altered my trade management accordingly. Probably should stick to my original plan and see how the actual expectancy of that turns out. It is all a more difficult experince that I imagined 6 months ago!

edit: Jduester, thanks for that link...you are right that I have and do struggle with restraining myself from taking soso setups and also being attached to trade outcome. Do tonights setups fall into that basket? Maybe...Im not sure. I have had a good week and this is a no doubt whatsoever a risk factor for over confidence and generally poor trading and trading grief. Your point is well made. cheers.

Nice CT pin bar on M15 time frame. Also interesting area to watch as the ceiling for H4 and D1 may or may not hold in this area.
