i have noticed you are look at more pairs josh. Do you look at 5m and 15m on your pairs?

im looking at eur/usd 5m and 15m, gbp/usd 15m, usd/jpy 15m and eur/jpy 15m.

not sure if i want to look at 5m on too many pairs yet becuase of lack of experience / spread.

hope a nice juicy pin with trend comes along soon!
I'm watching e/u, g/u, u/j and g/j on both 5 and 15m.

Ideally we want hidden divergence with trend trades.
But please make sure its hidden well enough so no one can find it though!

Some nice setups occured on EJ and AU, fast and furious, missed the best, EJ but got AU and a couple other less then perfect setups, still made pips

Hey dbeach. Wondered if you watch only 5min or also toggle between 5 and 15? You seem pretty good at catching many pairs. I have a hard time watching 4 pairs (8 charts) on 2 screens, lol... I guess all in good practice...

Looks good M. You may not find many trading g/chf on 5min because of the larger spread offered from many brokers. Good moves though.

Also, many measure DIV from the bar closes, not from the bar extremes. Just personal preference I suppose... we've discussed this difference many many times on the thread if you are interested.

I'll let Jankone answer the EMA(18, 50) question. I don't generally use them.

Hi JD, I watch about 6 pairs, more or less, yes it's hard to catch them all! I also have m5 and m15 open at all times on these pairs and whenever h1 and h4 turns over I check them out as well, as those sometimes have a strong bias towards the smaller time frame direction. I like to watch pairs that dont always move in the same direction... sometimes AU EU and GU move together so I watch for opportunity to diversify my risk to include pairs like UJ, EJ and GJ so if Im wrong, chances are higher Im only wrong on half of my trades.

Seems like was a good divergence, good enough pinbar and good location. Is anyone managed to avoid this loss? If yes then what did you find to help you avoid it. Or it is normal trade but just one of them that should be a loss.

Andy...for what it is worth as i am just learning this also..with that setup I would like to see a significantly bigger trigger bar and/or the wick crossing a SR level to make it a higher probability trade. It is also a fairly low liquidity time of day. So there are some risk factors there that would most likley have kept me out of the trade.

when the trend is strong, divergence is not enough to reverse price direction. often in a strong trend, u will encounter or more divergences before price reverses.
it seems the trend is strong in this case.

if u are interested to learn more, i'd like u to check Jankone's chart right above.
kindly look at & compare price, RSI & BB on (second-half or right side of) both (your & his) charts.

and after tens. hundreds trades you will think even about WHEN you trade.

you will know when you can trade and when markets are dead for m5
