I run dozens of Ea's in the same account and there is no problems. They must have a different magic mumber, also take care about global variables

Can't see the point of using more than one EA on an account, just makes trying to analyse results harder IMHO.

Only reason to use more than one EA on the same account is for instance if you use a trade manager and/or reconnect EA.

Just my $0.02 worth.

Yep. Running more than one bot on an account leads to a blown account.

Thanks folks - guess my first thoughts were correct - separate demo accounts for each EA to be tested is the go.

The answer to this question may be obvious. If it is, I apologize.
How do I get the ea to send nzdusd with the rest of the aud basket and audusd with the nzd basket both in the same direction, in spite of the xxxaud, xxxnzd send syntax of the basket send. I mean to add each pair to either's send at the send stage only, not in the strength calculation

These pairs are strongly +vely correlated.

It can't be done by the robot. You would have to send the trade using a script that allowed you to send the trade using the same magic number as that used by the basket.

Inexpressible thanks to Kang Gun, Steve, Scooby Doo, matrix, eddie, harigp and others (I apologize for not remembering by name) for this thread and the relative strength thread preceding it. The contributions and commitment shown by all of you show a level of generosity and accomplishment rarely seen. It warms my heart that you would give so much blood, sweat and hair pulling, not to mention suffering through so many glasses of wine, brandy and who knows what to pull you through such an enormous project.


After spending several days reading through the threads, I have learned more than I even realize. It will take some time for the learning to filter down into my brain muddle. ?

I felt confident enough, however, to set up a demo account with KG Relative Strength EA v3, even though I'm not sure I have the settings right. Hopefully, I'll come to understand the ins and outs of this EA to get it working properly. And, if anyone is interested, I'll put up a report on one of those web-based reporting sites so my demo results can be tracked.

Again, many thanks to everyone whose insight and knowledge was able to accomplish so much compressed in only 310 pages of posts to date, not to mention any ancillary threads that were mentioned in the main threads.

I noticed that nzd basket has some problems. A few times it opened a basket with 3 trades only even if there is a 4 trades per basket minimum. I have a e-global cent account. What could be the problem ?

Spreads.And if you want to be happy do not keep NZD as trigger. Nzd/Jpy blew my winning a/c.

I read this in a bit of a hurry and didn't think about it much. There is no reason why I should not add these pairs to the respective baskets; leave it with me.

Latest versions are supposed to be issued with nzd and cad triggers set to false by default. These are horrible baskets to trade.

I am just wondering about base lot calculation. Isnt it a bit dangerous.
before it was 0.01 per 100 curency for micro account and 0.01 per 1000 for mini. Now it is free margin/20000. With alpari mini account my baselot was 0.01 per 1000$ with the new calculation it is 0.05.
Now one basket can quickly wipe out your account.

Another question about micro accout (ibfx) - Do i fave to change the code from margin/20000 to margin/2000

The old calculation (0.01 per 100 curency) is probably disabled in the code?

When you test dozens of Ea's, it's a nightmare to open so many demo accounts.
It's very easy to analyse results using the "comment" column. Morover, inside a single EA, you can analyse deeper if you change the "comment" according various strategies etc...
The best way is to download the account history in Excel, then select the column that contains the comment, then use data/sort by to sort by comment first, then you can secondly sort by symbol or entry time ect...

Use GetHistory (copy to expert/scripts) and drag it in any chart. The file (orderreport.csv) is in the folder experts/files
