Nah, it should actually show how that EA recovers. The 60% demo lost 20% because without 0.01 lotsizes you can only step by 0.10, 0.20, 0.30.. - It had $15,000 in equity and should have been trading 0.15 lotsizes instead of 0.20 (0.01 per 1K) - Thats why I recommend brokers that allow 0.01 increments so that that lotsizes scale better (but I already knew that) and the second account is only down 3%. - It really answers the "I know you can win but how do you lose" questions. Everyone is used to EA's that blowup and take the entire account down with them. I technically blewup by a inadvertent weak market entry (that's been prevented from happening again) and one account is still up 39% and the other still has 97% of starting capital. - CORRECTION: After I wrote the above post (which I cant edit) ONE of my clients took the 10% equity dip with me. Everyone else made profits so I almost got away clean but even that client is easily within striking range of capital restoration. - There are no guarantees but I've enhanced the EA even further as a result. - Weak market entries are now impossible and Trading Early Exit rules have been enhanced further.

Back in the Black - After the 10% hit a couple weeks back I'm made some pretty significant upgrades to HEDGEPro. Actually I even feel pretty good about the 10% Loss cause by a Black Swan that dropped the EURUSD 300+ pips because the account still had about 90% of funds available for the recovery. Over the past 2 weeks there's been a nice 8% gain which could have been at least 12%. During the first week I reduced the lotsize to half when running LIVE - The second week I turned the risk levels back to normal. Heres the link to a naked results of 2 week testing [http://bit.ly/hpro2wks]. The Myfxbook results mirror those results too - The Collective2 Demo is up to 54.05% and the ATC Demo has recovered the negative Drawdown and went 4.73% in the green thanks to Dubai debacle on Friday that FINALLY gave the EURUSD some action. All week the pair was stagnant - It kept bouncing off the 1.50 mark and retesting without going anywhere for the past week. Looks like were back on track for the normal 20%+ monthly performance.

Great question bro...

Hey Fulltime,

are you getting decent participation in your programs?

Do you mind sharing your experience in trading the markets, ie, do u trade FT, how long have you managed money for?, etc.

I'm getting very nice participation (actually expect to close the program soon) - The strategy is my 'Ancient Chinese Secret' - I've never seen this strategy used/explained or described. Its 100% mechanical and doesnt need 'tuning' or optimization every 'x' months. It basically jumps on strong currency momentum moves but uses hedging to limit the downside risk when the currency eventually reverses from the strong movement. It avoids weak markets and only triggers when activity signals a sustained push. (as you can see we rode through the Dubai mess and drawdown is still nicely less than 5%)

NOT a scalper or small pip player. It can stay with a market run for as long as it lasts but also exit sooner if the move appears to be a 'Head-Fake'. I've been programming EA's for the past 3 years for my personal use and commercially selling them. - After a jerk sent me a decompiled copy of my EA I stopped selling my work and started partnering with funds that used my EA's for trading. The funds separated me from the traders so I've recently decided to go it alone. This particular version have been running profitably for all of 2009.

That way I can give better service and continue to improve the code for my users. They have access to me and I can keep everyone running the latest/greatest code version. For more info and to track the system check out - [http://fulltime247.com] - I explain a bit more of the system operation, have Live updating performance reports and explain why I only trade through 1 broker.

HEDGEPro Economic Recovery - It was another Nice Week for HEDGEPro. - After watching the EA only collect 1.1% from Sunday to Thursday, NFP added a nice 2.4% bump in 1 day on Friday for a total weekly gain of 3.52% from a basically dead week. The EA did its job of staying out of the weak market that existed all week while limiting risk. This week I've began testing the robot with GBPUSD since the strategy is so mechanical it can work with ANY currency. The Myfxbook Demo's have almost recovered the complete 10% Emergency Exit Loss. The Collective FX demo is now at 57.94% (from a high of 60.26%) and the ATC Demo is now at 7.13% (from a high of 11.05%) - I fully expect both to recover and surpass their highs next week if currency movements are near normal. Both demos have exceed my expectations in testing the maximum loss strategy (which preserved 90% of trading funds) and funds recovery which has erased any negative account drawdown and almost restored previously attained account high-water marks. Since the 10% dip I've made a number of enhancements to the core EA logic that increase safety of funds and reduce trading risk without altering the basic rock-solid concept. At this point I'm only programming optimization techniques to streamline the internal logic since the robot is pretty much code complete. (In preparation to possibly port the code to other platforms - Ninja Trader, JForex, etc.)

The EA earned about 3% this week while the EURUSD was 100% FLAT for most of the week. The AlpariUK account on the Fulltime247.com website is up 12.8% since 11/14 and even though 3% represents a slow week it still was enough to surpass all of the lost equity on our HEDGEPro Collective FX account. The previous high was 60% and the account now sits at 61.84%. My ATC Demo account (8.73%) would have recovered all lost funds too but I had the EA set to pause itself after the 1st sequence closed. HEDGEPro is now a ATC Managed Services Product and to move all current accounts over to the new arrangement I had to get them to flat status. This resulted in the robot missing out on 60+ pips it otherwise would have banked. These missed 60+ pips would have taken it over the 10% mark. Looking over the Managed Account Services landscape I can see that I'm on the low side of the market and will be adjusting fee's sometime next year. To be fair I'll be waiting until I have a couple more solid months of Live performance data so that nobody feels pressured into joined an unproven program. Anyone that's in the program before I raise rates will have their profit sharing rate frozen for the remainder of 2010 on any active account.

Is there a licensing requirement to manage accounts for your clients? By the way, nice job with your performance!

Accounts are managed via ATC Managed Account Services. They are fully licensed with the NFA and funds are held by FXCM-UK who is registered with the NFA and are regulated in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong.

Finally got a nice breakout week! - All platforms did extremely well. The Collective FX Demo is at 67.8%, ATC Demo is at 13.54% and the AlpariUK demo is at 18.2%. So all subscribed clients got a nice stocking stuffer right before Xmas. After the current sequence closes I'll be reducing trade risk until turning off the EA right before the Xmas break - HEDGEPro should actually run pretty well pre-Xmas but since volume can be thin I expect the currency to be a bit more volatile since the banks wont be trading. 2 Days before Xmas the EA will be set to pause after any open sequence closes then I will re-enable it on Jan 5, 2010. I always dislike the numerous trade interruptions at the end of the year. Manual traders have a lot more control over their positions but these timeframe blips screw with EA's since they work best with a continuous market action. Oh well...

Just wanted to give an update on the HEDGEPro System. My Collective FX account expired this month but ended with a nice 77.88% return. This is even after a 10% dip caused by an earlier code version (fixed since Nov.) - The current working demo on my http://fulltime247.com website is up 33.44% over 4 months (8.34% average. A 100.08% yearly ROI). The demo started at 10K. In Jan AlpariUK killed the demo's and I transferred the $1,820 balance profit to the ATC demo at that point. Returns are roughly 5 to 15% monthly (depends on currency movement) with typical floating Drawdown of 6 to 9%. I've made the system safer. (I like the sub 10% DD's) - It has a slight effect on lowering returns but makes it far easier to sleep at night. You can see that in the current ATC demo that the equity line basically stay flat as it slowly creeps upward. (basically the same behavior of the 2010 CFX demo after Nov 5th) - Check the links in the first post to see the 77.88% Five Month account and current ATC Demo MT4 statement.

At this point the system is Code Complete and I'm brainstorming my next EA but this approach is easily my favorite. (No indicator. Pure price action. Non Directional.) Hedging has so many advantages that its easy to understand why US market making brokers killed it. At this point I'm still accepting managed clients but dont add new traders in the middle of active hedges so the program is only open a few times per year. If you're interested just check out my website for more info and full details. Since my testing/coding/programming stage is completed I'll soon be raising my profit share commission but FF Members will still be eligible for my initial 25% rate. (just mention FF and you're good)

NOTE: Please Rate/Vote/Vouch for this thread so it can be taken out of the "Under Evaluation". HEDGEPro is ready for Prime Time. Thnx!

Here the Myfxbook view of the above MT4 statement. (They make it look so good) - Plenty of nice graphs and stats on their page for easy analysis plus monthly breakdowns and per currency info. Overall gain is now 34.15% - This account started with 10K so you have to look at the 'Balance' to see the overall gain. $3,415.04 since this is a continuation of the +$1820.41 AlpariUK Demo.
