That AU trade that I took on Wednesday was actually my 6000th demo trade...

By the time last night's trades closed, they looked like this:

GU = +25, +35, +50, +132 = 242
EU = +25, +35, +50, +75 = 185
EJ = +25, +35, +50, +21 = 131

558 pips for the night!

I remember the days when so many of us were trying to get 5 pips, and get out...

This week has been a 100% success. No losses at all.

Dear PPP and others,

I came back from vacation last night. We went to Vegas, San Diego, and LA for ten days. I feel really refreshed after all.

I have been reading this thread this afternoon. Looks many of you had great results this week. I wish I had done the same. However, I know that we can't get everthing what we want.http://cdn.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon9.gif I would like to catch up next week. Happy Thanksgiving!

When you trade , you are in charge of the "remote control". You can decide how fast or how slow you want your life to be. I trade 4 days a week in month 1 and have a long weekend every week and in month 2 , I trade 5 days a week for 3 weeks and take a break for a week.
I work in JHB because the infrastructure is better ito of internet connection, telecoms etc , I " live " elsewhere.

I am glad the system is working for you, if you stick to the basics and trade it with discipline, it works....but don`t take my word for it, try it yourself

Hi guys and girls...

Now, I know that things are pretty easy already, but I will post a WORKING copy of the FF Cal indi.

I am not sure how many people have used it before, but when I tried it, it didn't do a thing for me. Thanks to Code Monkey, who picked up the fact that the FF calender url that the indi calls had changed, it is now working.

What this means is that the following are now fully displayed on our charts:

M5 Trix cross and close
M15 Trix cross and close
H1 Trix cross and close
ATR
ADX
Big numbers
Pivots
Timezone to trade in

That leaves us only needing to get a tick on all of the above criteria, ensuring that our EA is setup to trade the appropriate setup, and that we have a new high/low on the M5 to observe before entering a trade...

I have attached the indi for those who want to try it on for size...

Edit: I forgot to mention that I had to turn on my DLL imports in order to get the current version working.

Go to Tools>Options>Expert Advisors and ensure that "Allow DLL Imports" is checked...

I downloaded FFCal to my indicators folder, turned off Metatrader, waited maybe 20 seconds, turned it back on. Dragged the FFCal to the chart. Nothing loaded yet...

Have a look at the thread where it came from for suggestions. I forgot to mention that I had to turn on my DLL imports in order to get the current version working.

Just to show things are working well.

Please by no means am I ready to share all my refiinements so do not ask.

I post to show that MTF TRIX can be used for all types of traders....M60 and even H4 trading.

EDIT: Forgot to mention this demo account started 25.11.2009....
Lots of mistakes from my side..... slowly getting more and more disciplined.

Hi Glen,

Thank you very much for your manual explaining
the TRIX trading methods.
I have read it several times and seems pretty straight forward,
but I was hoping you could clarify a couple issues please.
I am using a 5 digit ECN broker, and trying to set up the MTF
Royston Meter to trade the 60,15, 5 strategy or the 30, 5 stratedgy
As per the parameters 15min TF HT=80, 30min TF HT= 55, 60min TF
HT=30, 240min TF HT= 5, there is no parameters for the 5 min TF or am I missing something? Also there is no label on the meter as to which TF is
which, (has this to do with a 4 digit broker). You mention the arrows red for down , and green for up , but on mine sometimes they are vice versa.
Sorry if these sound like trivial questions, but I am rather new at this.

I personally have not tested the three markets mentioned....but MTF TRIX should work in any market with a very high turnover which all three above mentioned are heavily traded. Price action is what you are looking at in any market whether it be commodities, indices, shares, forex..... all the same even property behaves in the same way.

Manual page 13;

Recommended currencies to trade.
In order of preference: GBPUSD, GBPJPY, EURJPY and/or EURUSD

Q1. Can I trade other currencies? Yes

Q2. What other securities can I trade? Try it on anything, indicies, silver, gold, oil to name a few.

Since IBFX changed their margin requirements in line with NFA regulations, it might be wise to watch that now. I notice even with your trades in profit your margin level is just over 300% when it used to be over 1000% in your previous posts of the account. Just something to keep in mind.

Yes, I am aware of this change of IBFX 1:100 leverage rule and the NFA other rules.
