I did read a lot of things about them before opening a live account, including that thread. I had also used their demo servers extensively prior to opening an account, and the demo price feeds were freezing a lot but the problem was fixed. They have had problems before, just as any new broker would. They are also a bit amateurish when dealing with complaints and satisfying the customer. At the moment things are Ok at JadeFX for me.

Are their servers located in Australia? Ping time from New York is around 200ms, which is too high.

Are you sure? I thought PFGBest weren't affected by the NFA rules because of the way they handled trades at their backend. They wrote a press release about it.

that's something you would have to speak to em about. i have never noticed a ping issue at my end.

They're unlikely to make any fuss about someone complaining about a 200ms ping, as it's a small fraction of a second. Most traders probably don't care what ping times they get to their servers. I care because I've been choosing to use brokers with whom I get < 20ms ping times so that I get to see the latest prices and act on them before most others do.

I already have a live funded account with GoMarkets, but have stopped using them. It would be great if they had a server in New York.

Hi hyper,

what's the deal with jade FX I just opened a demo. looks great the spreads and the com is 5$ a trade! per 100K lot. I called em they told me no regulation to avoid new NFA rules

the guy on the phone sounded Nigerian (I am not racist but god the cliquey) I am thinking about a small live account with em.

is anyone trading live with em??

JadeFX is in Wisconsin. Dont know about the Nigerian thing but they're USA. I was in Milwaukee when I heard about them and was tempted to make a visit but after I read the thread their wasnt any point...

JadeFX has some way to go before they can join the league of the big boys like Oanda, FXCM, etc, and it has been a rocky road judging by posts on various forums, including their own on their web site.

I only started trading live recently and I have been glad to see that it's very much like their demo (after the demo price feed freezing problem was fixed).

You highlighted "by slightly marking up the price", but check the actual spreads. They are quite tight, so I don't think they actually do any markup.

Would it theoretically be better to go directly with FXCM Active Trader? The only disadvantages I see is the higher commission and higher minimum initial deposit (25K USD). But I'd presume spreads and execution would be the best you can possibly get.

Just checked with PFGBest. You CAN Hedge BUT only until 5pm. Its intra-day and useless. (I knew I crossed them off my hedging list for a reason) - Also Active Trader isnt MT4 so thats not a option for me. I got EA's to run. Most Pro Scalpers swear by FXDD Currenex PowerTrader platform if you dont need MT4.

I am keen on em Hyper,

really thinking about opening a 1k account. 5$ coms and the spreads are very good on the majors I like to trade on 1 hour.

I am not fussed if they mark up, they need to earn a living. the switch from NDD to DD is the bit that worried me.

thinking about it.

Maybe they quit. I dont hold it against them. Their website looks just like it did on day 1 when they were with HotSpot (I miss those days. You could lookup the counterparty) - since then there's been a LOT of changes. - I havent asked about it because I actually prefer Non-NFA brokers. I wish MB would quit that scam organization so they could Hedge, Non-FIFO and up the Leverage. - I keep asking why they're a member but they wont answer. They provide a true feed and the Banks doesnt care if you buy/sell the same currency (Its YOUR money). Why do they care?

You can get it in MetaTrader by request. I did my research. I also asked about it via email and they said yes.

Let's not stray too much from the thread topic. The only reason we are talking about these other brokers is because they are alternatives to The Collective FX.

So if anyone can share anything more about the current state of The Collective FX please do so. At the moment they seem like some secretive society that people aren't allowed to talk about.

I running the CFX demo and just notices that Nano lots got activated Today so that means they've switched to Citi. I'll run my spread recorder on 'em an see how the spreads check out. If anyone's running LIVE they can comment on the fills. (when I was with them before fills weren't a issue, I just didnt like the DB spreads)
