trx indi is just fine instead of macd.
cross of 0 by the thick slow line is significant
as well as divergences and confirmations of the thing fast line,
just like macd... easier ti use and to see.
slow robby is really useful for trend strength and confirmation..
fast robby gets in and out of trades with the trend...
all three lineup as well as ashi smoothed and it's a winner... the start of something big...

I seem to have a new found confidence stemming from realization of the 2% risk principle. I just hope it doesn't go to my head and end up being expensive..
Several trades this am in zulu, no fear...
uptrend EURUSD pretty strong, so when the pull back came just before NY equities mkt, no problem, just sat tight. actually did a few scalps along the way... The longs I opened are still under water but trend is back in accord with the main trend and we're heading towards profitability. No fear of draw down now. If I know what my risk is and if the trade I am considering fits the risk parameters, no fear. Even when the draw down starts in case "I didn't get in perfectly....."
It's a whole new world. And it's do-able.
As they say in New England, Light dawns on Marblehead...

I would love to post my take on this method in a while.
I have been doing something very similar on 5 and 15 m

some neg divergence creeping in on the 4hr..

could see a retest of the 1.5 area...

I was looking at the 1hr and thinking this is neg divergence. But the second peak is not a new high, it is a failed breakout, but not a new high...So divergence is not so strong..

The DSS, does it repaint or is it real and solid once the candle
closes?

Either in DSS color or more importantly even, the dss position
on the indicator? Ie, whether it is above 80 50 20 levels
..will it redraw it later top/bottom or is it real as it looked
on candle close as I see my live charts now?

You use the 8/14 and 8/50 DSS on the 5 min
charts correct?

Do you prefer to have them in any particular level?
ie Does it matter to you if going short if both are below the 20 line or if one or the other is near the 80 line
still? Could you give me more detail, besides color,
how you best like to use the two robby dss.

On my setup, I prefer when both are not overbought or oversold, maybe the short term is just heading into the oversold ie 20 area if shorting
and the longer term DSS is higher and has space to move down. Is that the same as you Jiva?

I learn from other traders. Whatever you can share in research I am interested in..
Have recently introduced the thvtrxv6. I am finding it extremely useful.
Robby is a customized stochastic. The color changes are just a different way to pictorial a cross of 8 and 14, or 8 and 50. Easier on the eyes. I'd like to see them both in the same window to be able to zero in on how they interact. Less clutter on the template. For now separate windows.
the best entry I have found is: both robby's cross out of oversold or overbought together... with a directional confirmation from trx. like on the attached chart.
There's a lot going on there.
Two entries are identified. 1st one short, 2nd one long. blue check marks.
the 2nd one has strong confirmation from trx with a pronounced divergence.
I prefer heiken ashi as it filters out a lot of the noise. I get information overload with regular candles and bars...
The ashi smoothed stands out sharply to define a trend. It is roughly equivalent to a 10 lwma. I prefer ashi smoothed as it also gives some indication of strength by size of the bar...
The red line running through the main window is a 10 lwma applied to the close of ashi smoothed... and a cross of it by ashi smoothed is significant for trend identification.
Looks easy enough, right? When the bullets are flying and it's real money it's a different story!!!!

look back at what you seemingly obviously missed

Ok cool..yeah basically as long as the two DSS are not oversold
prefer neither are fully across the 20 line for a short and the
other has space to move down to it and vice versa for a long
at this point.

the divergence on 15 was good.
Am appreciating trx more and more..
the best indi I've used so far.
catches so many nuances with divergence, confirmation, trend... it's all there.
robby is simple but right on. together 1:2 knock out...
no repainting......
none!!!!
so caught this nice explosive run to r1...

day chart showing serious neg divergence...
although with divergence there can still be a heck of a lot more upside before it finally turns.. more drawdown than is comfortable..
would like to see a double top and zeroline rejection on both robby's, as well as trx.
then a fall towards 200 would be in order...
Could take a month to form... mid December, I would look to see the pullback...
Holiday vacation time...

the neg divergence on trx could just be a flat line, rather than a significant pull back, pa is hugging r1 for dear life...

gonna let this one go, there's probably 5 or maybe 10 pips here, but looking at the 30 min, the push upwards is pretty strong.. trx confirmation and 0 line rejection... slow robby entering overbought...
