platform lockup

gentlemen I am wondering if you can help me with a slight problem of having 2 EA,s attached to the same chart ( by mistake ) My platform keeps locking up. I already removed the EA,s from the experts file but it seems like nothing changed. Any info or help would be appreciated. My platform is MT4

hey barron.... are you sure the ea's were to blame..... when applying an ea to a chart that already has an ea attached, metatrader should remove the first ea......

in any event, odds are the last chart is still open..... there are a couple methods to straighten things out....

start metatrader again but be ready to close all open charts the absolute first second you can....

use the "close chart x" in the top right corner of the chart....

click multiple times fast, as soon as any chart appears....

i lock mine up several times a week, that's my prefered method.....

addtionally,

if your handy rootin around in the metatrader platform folder, look in your "profiles"....

example....
you may have many profiles, but what your lookin for is the profile with the last date modified CHR file.....

they should say something like,

chart01.CHR
chart02.CHR

and so on....

delete the last modified file....

or, rename the profile...

ie , change


that's only an example, you need to change the last profile accessed.....
