what is best online trading platform

I am new at online trading and have downloaded a few platforms and am trying to pick one ,I was interested in hearing users opinions as to which platforms are better and why ?

I have just started studying them and so far looking at demo ,I like look of forex.com seems very clean and saxo also seem nice ,FXCM and CMC look more complicated but I need more time to use the demo so no judgement yet,I have not seen oanda and interbankfx I will download soon.I just downloaded northfinance and capitalforex anyone use one of those?

Try Forex.com they updated platform and charts too.

The best I've used so far was FxSolutions. The platform was quick with it's execution, but best of all, you could open a trade directly from the chart. It's also got a news feed. I think it's from Reuters.

Currently using InterbanFx and it's excellent too.

I'd recommend opening a demo account with a bunch of different Forex broker. Whichever one catches your fancy is the one you should go with.

i'm a brand new trader and i like GFT's DealBook. FXCM seemed to lack features I wanted and forex.com seemed to be online only (all java) and that turned me off.

That's the point, you will have to try a handsome amount of platforms. I might be using a platform which you won't like if you use it, and you might be using another platform which others won't like.

Just keep in mind that it's not only the platform, it's the features of the platform that matters. Of course the functionality of the platform matters, but who cares about a platform which is light and functioning very well under all windows and MAC operation systems which doesn't have a variety of time frames to choose from. For example, I came by some platforms which don't have the 10 minutes frame. Some others do not have the weekly.

List the best and most reliable brokers, try their platforms, and then choose. A bad broker can have a good platform, but a good broker can't have a bad platform.
