Hi coolhell,

When there is import canadian news I trade it. But most of the times I got a bad fill on the USDCAD. So I got today: A stop sell order at 1.1024 got filled at 1.1007..

In your reply you advise FerruFX to trade EURCAD because it moves better. My broker is GFT and the spread on EURCAD 8 pips. So I was wondering you also get better fills on EURCAD, or are just the moves better?
My experience with gft is that the fills on GBPUSD & EURUSD are better than on the USDCAD. What are your experiences with your broker?
Ignored
I have read/heard bad stories similar to this one about slippage with GFT. I guess this is just another confirmation.

Dont understand how it can happen with a limit order. You either get filled at your specified price/bounds or you dont!

I think broker is bullsh*tt*ing you.

I may be missing something already written in this thread but is it possible to write into an EA for mt4 a funtion that will monitor the spread at all times and abort your trade on a market order if the spread widens to a level you will not accept? In another words it would need to abort the pending market order trade before it is taken at news release time if the spread widens to a tolerance level of your choice. Would this be programmable as part of an EA?

If you have a look at the first post from BK you will see a heading "Maximum Spread" you can adjust EA to allow for spreads. It's all in the first post.

Ive been having difficulty using the straddly technique on FXCM, slippage occurs.
Im starting to use the bk script on demo account on mt4 .
What broker should i change to for straddling technique.
Im guessing the one with fixed spreads and no slippage(under volatile markets) is there such a thing?

also what do you think about my idea to not get my stops activated by slippage, i just wont put stops , and therefore my total risk is the difference between the
Entry buy /sell or buystop/sellstop(mt4 lingo)
With no limits of course.

Thanks for uploading the file. Although a bit late to the party, I would like to get the full licenced version. Any way to contact BK cos I cant use the PM method?

Is this version still restricted to 0.5 lots for live trading?

In my testing, I've noticed that there's always long delay in updating the pending orders when for EJ pair.

Is this script automatically detects 4/5 digits broker?

Will it only open 2 pending orders once? what happened if one of them deleted and the other closed with TP/SL? (will it open another couple of orders?)

Turbo,

I've used the script in conjunction with the ManTp EA, it proven to be very effect. It has enabled me to lock profits in during quick reversals.

Hi - this looks really good - but is it an EA that I attach to the chart while the script is running?

Also - the standard inputs that are given - how exactly do they manage the trade - would you mind explaining the different inputs - (they may seem obvious - but I am trying to get the hang of these...)

Thanks for your time

Since the new CTFC regulation prohibit heding, how will this affect using the Burger Straddle? Will it not work after the new regulations go into effect?

You are not really hedging with the straddle you are placing an order above and below the market price one or the other will get placed the unplaced order will get deleted by the broker to follow the law

Once one order executed, the other is canceled by broker itself. Just like in interbankfx.

Hi there,

I'm with a 5 digit broker (GoMarkets) and I think I need to set some values up differents (extra zero on pip-related values). It sets up just before news time and adjusts the values okay (by bringing them closer together), yet just on news trigger time, it deletes both my buy & sell stops simultaneously with uninit reason 0.

My spread is okay from what I can tell, and if spread is too large it will delete the script and tell me.

Anyone got any ideas?

I've had similar problems with a separate ea with GoMarkets, in my particular instance it was the allowed slippage in the stop/limit orders placed by the ea that was screwing with things - my first guess would be spread though.
