I believe that this strategy is profitable in the long run, however, I gotta make money daily. Otherwise I won't get funds to manage.
BTW, for more frequent returns Pharoah's method based on smaller box is more viable.
I actually traded version of my own and it is ok, but still, this mechanical approach makes me to swallow too many small losses . it is profitable if to let profits run but I prefer higher hit rate.

Just a thought. Probably you know already all this. I think you can adapt this method to the hourly timeframe. Say first hour of the day is the box. I have played with that and is ok. Just need to use the brain cannot be totally mechanical. Retracements, targets, etc.

The thing is that equity curves for other system I run are very similar to this one, even simple MA cross based system. They all do much the same thing, follow the trend, go with the flow, when the trend isn't there or is too weak, they all fail.

Due to all of the rate changes and problems over the last 12 months or so, everything has had to re adjust and that is where all of the big moves are from. Now we are be calmed, although things may start to swing back the otherway, but I don't personally think as strongly.

Greetings one and all . . . since more or less abandoning this thread (much like the creator, just a lot later ), I was referred to Mister Ed's 4-hour Heikin Ashi system. Not the catchiest of names, but oh well.

Here's the link if you want to see what's going on there: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=182645

It's not as much fun as this thread used to be, but it seems like a solid strategy if you want to take a look. Over and out.
Greetings from Guanajuato, Mexico

Whoever designed the 2 indicators attached to the first post--can you either add an option to change the box size or release the source code so we can change it ourselves?

Stop-loss on this scale range will result in the event of a significant retracement of funds, it is recommended not to stop at the other side of interval.
