OK, so the daily long now up around 120 pips, just short of 5%. Should be able to lock a couple of percent in at NY close unless we have a huge drop in the next few hours.
London open trade just closed at 1.48925 for 16.1 pips (+0.64%), so 3 winners on the trot there.
No 4 hour signals all day so far - may get a short signal later if we retrace during Asia.

4 hourly missed the entry yesterday as I was at work so need to be patient
Last 2 days London open have had 2 winners so lets see what today brings....
Just opened long at 1.48764, s/l 1.48514

Thanks - yes I've been fortunate to meet a few FF members and good to put a face to the name!
I must ask, how are things over there? - been watching the news and some of the scenes were horrific...
here, so far the floods have receded a bit. but there are still threats of incoming storms/typhoons before the year is out. many people are still homeless, currently in evacuation centers, some of which are flooded too

Well we've seen the long awaited drop today - lets see if US follows it through or we get a bounce.
Daily trade still OK with profits locked in although London open trade stopped out on the drop.
Bit annoying about the 4 hourly trades. It was introduced really for when I'm not at work.
On the move up missed entry due to work at 1.4780 area two days ago and wouldve made over 6% until it would've been stopped out this morning. Would've also entered short at 1.4945 this morning (work again), thus locking in some profit effectively on the daily. Stop loss would now be around b/e on that so nothing to lose. As of writing, price is at 1.4875 so thats nearly 3% up that 4 hourly would've been grrrrr!!
You know what? Missed opportunities like that are worse than losing but there's nothing I can do about it if I'm not around....

You are truly a star - yes it could be done I think so if I may I can let you know what I do. The only issue could be that although I'm trading it on an MT4 broker (ODL securities), I actually take the open/close of 4 hour bars at a different time than that broker.
What I'm trying to say is that I prefer a 4 hour close to coincide with NY close, rather than the times set by my broker as it produces better results.

Is it a mechanical trade system, (the 4 hour)? If so, and you are trading it on a MT4 broker I could write you an EA for it this weekend if you want to drop me a PM we can discuss what is necessary. Then you could just let the EA trade conservatively while you are not at home and trade it manually when you are. I am still writing down what we talked about earlier, I am finding it a bit more involved to explain it, even though it is quite simple.
