Already tried download link from another thread... ..its not installing..what shit is SS2?
hmm SSE2, Streaming SIMD Extensions 2.
Saying on installtion, you need PC with SSE2..mine is an old one...doesn't have.will try on server... anyway !

hey saint..... mine installed with no problems..... it's heavy with russian launguage though......h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

Doesn ATC itself is good also?

VERY Good! (Maybe even the Best!!) They use a FXCM feed but the trades go through ATC servers. EURUSD spread is usually 0.4 to 0.8. - Trades fill SUPERFast!! - You can hedge with ATC, etc.. - They are the BOMB!!

So to open a FXCM account with ATC as Ib i have to open account where? at ATC OR Fxcm with something to enter like referer?
Further any bad/naggy thing you want to share about ATC, you know of?
if there is nothing ....1 would be amazed....

I dont think ATC has a IB program. They dont markup the feed so theres no way to pad it for IB's. I asked when they started and they couldnt do it (might be diff now but the spreads are so low I think its still the case.) - Thats why nobody can give you a spread rebate for ATC. - Also if you want a account with ATC you have to go to ATC - they and FXCM only share a datafeed, they are 100% different operations that dont mix business. I dont have any complaints really. Since they're using their own tech to use MT4 for ECN sometimes there are tech issues when MQ changes something but overall I have no complaints. They've fully debugged their software. Only $8 per 100K commision. OK swap rates. GREAT execution. - I think they are easily the best broker right now. - If MBTrading ever fixes their both sided negative swap, fully debugs MT4 (it takes a while to get it right) and fixes the Demo I'd put them in 2nd.

meh it's ok, feels a little unstable but then I am running windows 7 and mt5 is a beta.

MA's look like they should but as I only use MT4 for charting will keep hold of my demo charts till the end probably.

The SSL thing you just give it a password, it is not asking for a password.

I'm Running the same setup. Shame, i cant load my old mt4 indis, or there's a solutution, i wonder?

I'm seriously NOT impressed. Its looks like Evolution and I was expecting Revolution. FIFO is crap and changing the programming language to make thousands of EA's and indicators worthless is pure trash!! - Why didnt they include a MT4 emulator mode so you can run old stuff AND new stuff. What the Hell were they thinking!? - I'm sticking with MT4!! - Probably the only MT5 software I'll ever run is a MT4-->>MT5 trade copier. (if that..)

The terminology is wrong. ATC is NOT a IB for FXCM in the traditional sense. A introducing broker generally uses the tech of the main broker and you place your orders with the main broker. ATC just leases the FXCM PriceFeed. They have their own servers and operation. Trades are executed on ATC servers NOT FXCM servers.

The real question is why they didn't just open the api for a decent language but again coded their own piece of crap (nicely put) - mt4 is just horrible and I just don't think they can do it a lot better.

There are lots of good open source scripting languages created by people who understand CS so why write your own crap? I just don't get it.

Especially as all the US (NFA) brokers I see are jumping offshore now!
It's clear metaquotes couldn't give two fooks about the actual users of the platform as has been known since that infamous plugin

Which is why I dumped MT4 brokers and just use the charts (for now)

MT5 is like Vista--most won't use it. Maybe FIFO will make it mandatory

Hi All,

It seems obvious the MT5 is a stuff up of monumental proportions. MQL4 should be automatically translatable into MQL5 if metaquotes had wanted it to be. They obviously didn't want it to be as is shown on this link posts 73 to 75. Instead they have spent time and money on developing games aimed at distracting the trader shown on this link. Yes post 181 is game with a paper covered lady silhouette background.

MQL4 code in many areas is very similar to the MQL5 code. However, the real problem is that MQL5 coding of EAs is going to have to take into account other live trades that are active or become active in the account. Not only this but they are also going to have to take into account time for completion as well.

Because if another trade is already active, then what happens if the EA wants to trade in the opposing direction versus the same direction of the other trade?
What happens when the EA completes its trade? Does it re-activate the other trades that were present?

In other words an independent EA is going to need to take into account the volume of other active trades at the point in time that it makes a trading decision. Also an independent EA's trading is going to become dependent upon other trades that are occurring outside of its own trading parameters.

This will be extremely difficult and negates the entire purpose of using metatrader. As the platform with exception to the programming of EAs, is barely if at all better than other platforms.

If EAs are disrupted, is MT5 really worth it? Probably not.
