I have read many threads on many forums but I want to expand my knowledge more. I have decided to spend few dollars on education. Which one to chose?

"Bird Watching in Lion Country" or "The New Forex Model"?

How about Van Tharp's Trading the Way of Turtle?

A local martial artist once said to me when I asked him what's the best martial art, he replied "there's no best martial art, there's only best martial artist"

I think this can be applied with trading in some sense.

As Jankone said :"Trading system usually works, but traders don't"

Kakyn.

If you want to choose between the two, take Bird watching in lion country. The van Tharp books are good as well. As far as I know there will be a new edition (or update) of BWILC by the end of this month.

I just finished Bird watching in lion country......... It was a real challenge wading through the bullshit redundancy and empty sentences..........over 200 pages of rambling BS..... the whole premise of the book could have been condensed down to about 50 pages, and that would have still been a bit fluffy..... I lost count of how many times he encouraged his mentorship ...... I guess it could help some but I just found it to tiresome.

I have found this to to a reoccurring problem with so many books today.... they seem to think quantity will make up for lack of quality content.

Sorry Xaron...... There is no friggen way I will wade through his updated BWILC.......

Hehe I know. This is that kind of book you either hate or love. For me it changed my (trading) live completely. I know quite a bunch of people where it didn't, so finally everyone has to find what works for him/her.

Wow...$79? Is it worth it? What is it about that book?

That's a lot of money if you consider that Bird Watching in Lion Country is $69 and The New Forex Model is only $47 !

Ok, thanks. So that leaves me with "The New Forex Model"(although there was good opinion on BWLC from other forumer here). Will you be able to summarize here later BWLC? If I buy TNFM I will summarize it here...this way we could "share" cost of those books and "manage risk"

This will help me(if I find any good subject in your BWLC review) and other traders(if they find something in my review of TNFM).

As to other propositions - thank you guys! I am familiar with Van Tharp and others so no risk with buying their books - even if they were read by millions of traders before. But with authors like Dirk du Toi(Bird Watchin...) or Sylwester May(The New Forex...) I wanted to check before as they don't have such reputation as Van Tharp or others...

Anyway - I am buyng The New Forex Model right now...let me know if you are fine with what I wrote(your write review/summary of Bird and I write TNFM).

Just my opinion, so take it as you will , but you are going down the wrong path. Take Dopey's suggestion.... Trading and exchanges is a very good book...... You really need to know about the markets way before you even think about trading them..... If not then enjoy yourself in that 95% club............... Take Care.
